Fort William hotel

Premier Plus rooms are worth the extra. Nice new touches, like a coffee machine and fridge. Shower only, so missed out on a bath soak!! Located in a quiet part of the hotel, so no aggravating guests banging doors and noise. The staff are friendly and happy to make conversation. No fee for parking. The restaurant next door is ok for breakfast. Dinner not so. Fancied a pizza (pizza chef not working). Prawn cocktail was very good (what could go wrong?). The gammon dish was rubbish. Burnt chips to a crisp, disappointing cut of meat. For £18 was extremely poor. Think the chef needs more training? Avoid the restaurant and walk into town.

Shaun is the best receptionist so far. He was very helpful in sorting a booking issues. Very nice hotel to stay in , everything in order very nice hospitality.

Good Location, Good Room with plenty of room, with a table and large TV, Very Clean in the room and bathroom. No noise at all and great black curtains.

The hotel was great, couldnt the room at all. Spacious, clean, ideal for 3 people. The gripes I have are the with the restaurant. That was pretty poor to say the least. We booked a meal deal promotion as part of the original booking in efforts to try and keep the cost down and have all the food and drink on our trip paid for in advance. On walking in on both days of our stay the first thing I was met with was "pizza is off, so is the fish and chips", no explanation as to why - but ok, that happens I suppose so ill let it go. Next is then of the array of draft beers available, there are only 2 on - Madri or Guinness, the rest of the lines have been cut for contractual reasons. The place was freezing cold, heating wasn't on and its a huge space, it was cold enough that I had to go back and get a jacket for me and my son. This was across both days. It was manned by one member of staff which I tried to keep fair about it, it must be hard to run a restaurant as the only front of house staff member there but I kept having to challenge the price of things because I had this meal deal. Ordered similar items across both days (Think my wife had a pasta on the second day) and the first day it was £6.99 for my sons meal (fine) and the next day it was £17 odd. Hed also forgot my beer and I was trying not to get annoyed about it all as I was trying to imagine doing his job. But I paid for all of this and at the end of it all I do expect better out of a restaurant. Thats what let this down for me. Don't get me wrong, couldnt fault the breakfast, or the lady running breakfast. It was a night and day experience across the two.

My self and two friends booked three rooms for three nights with the meal deal. on the first night we went for dinner the dining hall was very cold as every other night was the same. As for the meal deal, many of the meals on the dinner menu were not available for three nights in a row with no alternatives, this made the menu very limited. But I must say the breakfast was good. As for my room had no hot water, the air in the bathroom was warmer than the water. I did report the problem to the reception, yes someone was in the bathroom and left the wash hand basin half full of water to let me know that they had been...You guest it the water was still cold, I had to boil a kettle just to have a shave for three mornings. The staff were very nice but they were young and did not seem to have clue. I have stayed in many premier inns but none as bad as this one...stay clear of this one
