Fort William hotel

It was not a good experience. As we were checking in the employees were arguing with each other and complaining about still being at work. The room is not clean. There was urine in the toilet when we lifted the seat for the first time. The beds are not comfortable. There is not much water pressure in the shower. Unless the window is open it smells musty in the room. The halls are dark and dingy. When we went to the restaurant for dinner he said they closed at 7:30 but then went on to say that they can’t accommodate more people because only 3 people were working. There were 4 groups of people wanting dinner and we were turned away. We expected much better for the price we paid. It’s so overpriced and a truly awful motel.

I want to say big thank you to Melanie for giving me a perfect save and glutenfree breakbeat every day of our stay. Its was a big surprise. She gave me a special cleaned dish, cup, knife and fork. Then she made me separate from all the rest a breakfastwith a big smile. So thanks again to you for a great job. 😀 Roy and Leen Bosch, Netherlands

This hotel has seriously gone downhill since we stayed here last year. There is now no bar, no restaurant and no room service. However, on the table in the room was a drinks menu and a food menu!?????? We couldn't even get two glasses for our room so we could have some whisky. Utterly absurd!! £348 for two nights!!! Avoid!!!!!

Stayed two nights April 2026. Have stayed here before but not for a few years. Group of four. Plus points:- car park, and easy walk into Fort William centre for good and drink. Good position for daily trips ie Skye. Minus points:- lack of staff meant that the restaurant was closed for evening meals. Reception staff having to cover bar and housekeeping. Poor stock levels in bar. Housekeeping needs attention. Excrement left from previous occupant in toilet bowl. No toilet brush to remove. Room was otherwise clean and tidy and everything worked. Bed was comfortable.

Good location close to the city center, easy to parking.the hotel had a spacious room, new carpet, comfortable bed, and great bathroom with a bathtub. The breakfast was ok, very typical but it was good! Staff very friendly!
