Aviemore hotel

Our stay was extremely disappointing, with the location being the only real positive. There was a disgusting drainage smell coming from the bathroom throughout our 2 night stay, and reception was largely unattended, leaving nobody available to raise concerns with. Breakfast on Monday was equally poor. Despite several tables being available, we waited 10 minutes to be seated, and the hot buffet was inadequately stocked with missing items and very little replenishment. The young staff appeared overwhelmed, understaffed and poorly supported. Overall, the experience fell well below the standards we expect from the Premier Inn and represented very poor value for money.

Outside looking a bit shabby, room was clean, nothing complain about. Went for breakfast, and only one member of staff clearing tables and doing lots of jobs at once. Far too much for one person. Most of hot breakfast trays were empty, one half tomato, one black pudding, some bacon, mushrooms, one hash brown, no eggs at time. Husband asked for poached eggs for us, chef had a face like a wet week end, he Said have to wait at least ten minutes, which was fine. Trays were all replenished after that, can’t complain, I like premier inn.

I have previously reviewed this PI online and although I made a few negative comments about how tired the hotel was looking I was complimentary about the PI staff and their efforts to please. However , I feel compelled to warn fellow travellers of the unexpected pitfalls of staying at this (or other Scottish PI's - eg Oban) that use Horizon Parking to manage their parking facilities. We stayed at the hotel for 5 days in August 2026 and registered our vehicle on arrival on the entrance hall tablet. A fortnight after returning home we received x2 Parking Charge Notices to say that we had not complied with the Horizon parking signage which , we now believe, expected Daily inputs on the tablet. Clearly PI and Horizon do not communicate with each other. We evidenced in writing our legitimate right to use the parking facilities and had the fines reduced. I could say a lot more but suffice to warn fellow travellers of this hidden highway robbery and to let Premier Inn management know that they have lost our future custom.

Fab place to stay , spotlessly clean , comfortable bed , food both evening meal and breakfast was delicious, hot and quality ingredients Staff where exceptional especially kallum (allum ..he will know) who was so very helpful nothing too much for him , he was informative and funny what a star you have in him , would definitely stay again

Another great short stay in Aviemore. Staff always very friendly and helpful. Definitely back again next year. Breakfast well worth the money.
