"Generally great stay. Beware not mobile reception inside though."
Great location. Staff all generally excellent. Nice room but had we been pit in lower floor or facing back perhaps wouldn’t have been so happy. You have to request room cleans which we preferred as we weren’t bothered during our stay otherwise if we had a lay in. Cleaning staff always happy to swap towels as we requested. Food was good on an evening, breakfast was excellent and pretty good value considering other options in town. Found a space to park in each night. Few cons we found: basic wifi slow and charging £5 a night for better WiFi seems mean considering hotel has zero mobile reception inside. Food service slow on 2nd time of 2 times eating on evening, but fine on 1st. I wouldn’t be happy with a room on bottom floor (or basement level). All in all we were happy with stay, perfection doesn’t exist in reality and we can’t really expect it. We would happily stay again in the future and were a little sad to leave.
      "Food recommendation"
It was our 3rd time at premier inn aviemore...always find it clean and tidy...perfect location handy for town and the cairngorms NP...we were greeted by Kurt the manager...very helpful. We had had a busy day so were not sure where to eat that evening...we had always been a bit sceptical about an evening meal there but tried it...Wow!...we were impressed....Chicken makhnani and the chicken katsu!...so good would recommend eating there to anybody...well done their team!
      "Do not use"
£60 excess charge for 15 minute use of EV charger in car park on top of fee for charger, despite appeal with evidence of payment charge upheld, do not use!
"A warm welcome but several issues to follow"
Started off well with a nice warm welcome from Kurt on the front desk but things went down hill from there. The room was large and very clean however, due to mobility issues we booked a Assessable room with a Wet Room. The room was very assessable and did have alarm cords in the bathroom and by the bed but had a conventional bath you had to climb in to use the shower. As we staying for 5 nights we declined having the room serviced daily but DID ask for a mid week service (A clean, new towels and bins emptying) but this was not carried out at all. We ate out most nights but one night decided to try their on-site restaurant. We turned up at 5pm and asked for a table for two only to be told they only have one chief on duty that night and it would be after 8pm before we could be served! Not our fault you are understaffed and its a poor showing when guests in your hotel can't get a meal in your own restaurant. Fortunately there several excellent eateries in Aviemore that ARE happy to serve walk-ins with no delay. A bit of a let down from Premier Inn's usual standards.
      "Weekend Stay"
A two nights stay here in June. Good parking facilities, good location, a short walk into town. Staff very attentive, friendly & helpful throughout the stay. Breakfast spot on, although dining area a bit hot, need the air con up a bit. The only gripe was, as previous reviewers have mentioned, is the scuffiness of the rooms and their decor. So many scrapes and marks on the walls, fingerprints all over the doors, brown marks on the carpet, dust and hairs lodged into the corners of skirting, dust, cobwebs and other unidentifiable elements stuck to the walls, peeling paint, mould around the bath sealant, the extractor fan not working, urine stains on the wall by the toilet, tiles not been cleaned properly in a long time, furniture items becoming loose, etc. Simple maintenance issues that for some reason are being neglected, which could make the customer's stay so much more pleasant. Other than those issues, all else was good.
