"Extremely Poor Breakfast Experience"
Overall, our stay was reasonably positive, but unfortunately the breakfast experience was extremely disappointing.
On a positive note, the room was clean, comfortable, and warm, which made for a pleasant and relaxing stay. The staff were helpful, friendly, and professional. It was very clear they were understaffed and being run ragged, yet they still did their absolute best to support guests, which we really appreciated.
However, the breakfast on Saturday morning was well below expectations. We had pre-booked and paid in advance, but when we arrived at around 9:00 am, there was no hot water for tea, no yoghurts, and almost no hot food available apart from a few sausages. There was also no orange juice, and a lack of basic items like cutlery and glasses and crockery.
The two staff members working in the restaurant were excellent and appeared genuinely shocked themselves when they realised how little food was available. They explained that the hotel had been exceptionally busy the day before and they had not been prepared for similar demand on the Saturday. However, given there was a large event nearby, the hotel was fully booked, and many guests had pre-ordered breakfast, this lack of preparation is difficult to understand. It was also clear there was only one person cooking, who simply could not keep up.
What was particularly frustrating was seeing walk-in guests around 9:40 am being charged £10.99 each for breakfast, only to then be told there was no food left and that no more would be prepared as service was ending shortly.
This experience fell far below the standard we have come to expect from Premier Inn, especially as we have stayed many times over the years. Based on this, we would expect a full refund for the breakfast, as it did not meet a reasonable standard.

"Part furnished room"
We have stayed at the premier inn at Westhill many times and found it to be very good ,on the last visit there was no chair in the room which I went to reception and they got me one straight away, on our recent stay again no chair as my husband is disabled and we were in a accessible room it is important he is comfortable again I went to reception but was told the chair was broken and they didn’t have a replacement surely if a room is not fully furnished it should not be let out .what happens if a bed is broken are expected to sleep on the floor

"Another annual visit to Aberdeenshire for R&R."
Another annual visit to Aberdeenshire to do some walking and sightseeing. Stayed as usual at Premier Inn Westhill. Vullnet on reception always welcoming and a pleasure to speak to. Room nice and comfortable, just someone in the room above mine on level 1 was a bit heavy footed and noisy this time, but luckily not during the night when sleeping. Breakfasts served in the Shepherd's Rest Pub and Grill next door filled me up for the day ahead. I'm assuming that as the Shepherd's Rest is owned and operated by Greene King, that they are unaffected by Whitbread's recent decision to close Brewer's Fayre/Beefeater offerings near their Premier Inn hotels and will continue to trade on the same site going forward.
