Aberdeen South (Portlethen) hotel

We decided to have Portlethen as our base for our 3 night stay near Aberdeen visiting NTS (National Trust Scotland) gardens. When we saw Premier Inn Portlethen it was a no brainer as we use Premier Inn all over the UK. The welcome at receotion was very nice, quick and easy check in, and a very well appointed room. We availed ourselves of the meal deal in the restaurant breakfast and evening meal (with a drink) ... The choices of food was excellent and the choice of drinks too. The staff all very welcoming with a smile and a joke ... 5☆☆☆☆☆ all round. The weather also particularly kind and we visited 3 gardens during our 2 day (3 nights) stay. Thanks again Premier Inn you rarely disappoint ... Oh yes one more thing the doting mum and dad with 3 chicks (Ostercatchers) outside our room window, nesting in the grass kept us entertained, hopefully they enjoy their stay at Premier Inn Portlethen as much as we did. Thanks again

Warm welcome on arrival but accommodation was in an annexe on other side of car park. Had to use car as OH was on crutches and car park is not in a good condition. We had a comfortable room and bed with wet room, but only 1 chair so somebody had to sit on bed! Restaurant is beside reception and we walked over for dinner at night and for breakfast in the morning. Dinner was excellent and service was quick and friendly. We had a late breakfast which was a standard buffet style but the few eggs available were rubbery and all the serving utensil handles were extremely hot and quickly started burning your hand The 2 course dinner, drink and breakfast deal was excellent value and i would recommend this.

This hotel doesn’t look much from the outside but it is clean and peaceful , considering where it is situated . I was staying in the area to visit family so didn’t go to the pub/restaurant next door The car park is spacious and the staff were friendly and helpful The rooms aren’t cleaned every day unless you ask . When I asked half way through my stay , they obliged no problem It is walkable to the shopping area and there are regular buses from there into Aberdeen and Stonehaven My only complaint and the reason I didn’t give an excellent was due to be woken early on 2 days out of my 6 day stay by a coach and a lorry leaving , who had parked in the very large car park overnight right behind the rooms

Last minute hotel change what a pleasant surprise. Room clean, quiet peaceful. Arrived early so had lunch hearty soup huge salad, hubby had Indian dish. Later used our meal package which included a beverage wine and Guiness for us. Again huge assortment of delicious, fresh cooked foods. Service was above anything we've experienced in Canada or the USA not by one, individual but by all. Kudos to everyone from the kitchen to the front bar dining room. Scotland strong! We always stay in this hotel, they are great when dealing with our mobility issues. The staff are amazing and nothing is to much for them.
