"Central Location and No Surprises"
The location is excellent for the city centre and for walks to the beachfront. The atmosphere is very relaxed but clearly a favourite of business people. The room was clean and perhaps a little tired but the value was good. I could here the chap in the room next door who clearly had a cough - that was frustrating for me - but I am sure worse for him. I was treated well as a single traveller and was pleased with the secure lift pass. There was gluten free cereal and I was offered food straight from the kitchen. I would say the evening meal wasn't great and when I return, which I will, I will eat out. Overall, I would stay again and, for business, it is pleasant enough. Nothing flash but nothing unexpected either.

"lacks hospitality, but cheap and comfy beds"
It's cheap and the beds are comfy, but basic hospitality is lacking. You arrive to an empty reception with computer screens (no warm welcome), the person on reception did come out when we rang the buzzer, and was friendly enough, but didn't know the answer to basic questions about traffic in the area. Instead just guessed an answer. The hotel itself has a restaurant which we would have eaten at, but it was closed as they had an issue.
I haven't stayed in a Premier Inn for a while before this trip, but it's sad to see them go this way. Obviously taking budget to the extremes, and losing customer service. The actual reception looked like an abandoned hotel.

"Ok but not really in the city centre."
Pretty average which is what it is I suppose. Only one towel for two people. No seat. No sockets by one side of the bed. And it’s not really in the city centre.
