the rooms look nothing like the pictures. food isn't the best just slapped on plate you ask for a table in restaurant and they say we are busy but yet there are 2 or 3 people eating .ive used premier inn for years but the standard is definitely dropping shame really

"Pros and Cons"
Stayed here for one night with daughter who was visiting Aberdeen University. It's a 15 - 20 minute walk through the city centre from railway station, and a further 20 minutes to the university.
The building exterior is not very attractive and looks like a converted early 70's office block. Rooms were the usual Premier Inn style and clean with comfortable bed. Our rooms were to the front and there was a lot of traffic noise from the busy main road. Closing the double windows did help a lot though.
For some reason couldn't connect to the free PI wifi, don't know if it was down throughout the hotel or it was just the location of the room (103).
Breakfast was fine although avoided the scrambled egg which didn't look too appetising.
The staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful and we were able to leave our bags in the luggage room while we were out for the day which was a great help.
So overall, it did the job but not the best Premier Inn out there and could do with some modernisation and the wifi issue sorted.

"You know what you get"
I needed a hotel for one night when attending a course. This Premier Inn was excellent value. Not too far from Aberdeen Station (15 min walk). As I arrived at 1900h. I ate in the hotel on the meal deal. Slept well and was away to the office near the airport for the course. Typical Premier Inn ... excellent breakfast as usual.

Excellent central city location - a good base for exploring the city on foot. Comfortable room. Friendly accommodating staff. Overall good value for money.

"Less than ideal location and needs updating"
I am a big fan of Premier Inn and usually rate them 4 or 5 stars. Unfortunately this isn’t one of the best.
Firstly, the location is not very central, despite the name. It is a fair walk to the rail and bus stations, and to central pubs and restaurants. Having said that, nearby there is King Street which is home to various eateries and takeaways.
Architecturally, the property is not a very uplifting sight, to put it kindly.
The whole place is rather tired and in need of a refresh. The corridor to our room had a very unpleasant stale smell. The room itself was lacking features found in more recently built/refurbed Premier Inns. There were no USB ports by the bed, and just a single 13A socket on one side. The bathroom has a fixed over bath shower, without the separate hand piece which is so handy for cleaning one’s important little places.
The mobile signal was very poor in our room and the free wi-fi was barely usable at times, so maybe budget for upgrading to Ultimate wi-fi.
The buffet breakfast was good, but there was no Lorne sausage which is a disappointing omission in a Scottish hotel.
Our interactions with staff were brief, but pleasant.
Perhaps Premier Inn should be looking for another more central location in Aberdeen?
