Aberdeen City Centre hotel

Location was good for me. Room was well equipped and clean. Luggage storage wasn't a problem and all staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Food was excellent.

I visited while being on a work trip away from home. Was good over all other than the room being a little "beaten up" with cracks and marks all over walls. I put on my booking I was staying for business yet I was put on a really noisy floor with families and young individuals playing music really loudly across from my room after 11. Most of the "hot" breakfast options were almost freezing such as the baked beans, hash browns etc the only actual hot food was the sausages which is a little ridiculous due to paying for the most expensive breakfast option. The "iconic" purple bed backlight was definitely on its way out and was a really dull yellow florence colour. Not to mention when filling up the bathtub floaters anf dirt raised and coated the top of the water before I could get in and had to empty the tub and clean it myself? The location itself was pretty handy and central right off the end of union street which shops and food was only a 10ish min walk.

The hotel was ideally located for easy access to places of interest and for evening meals. My room was a good size, with plenty of plugs, tea making facilities, and a good clean bathroom. I booked my stay to coincide with a 'free breakfast' offer, so was well pleased with the overall value for money. The service at breakfast was faultless, with everyone going out of their way to be helpful.

Good location at a great price. Accommodation and breakfast were excellent and staff helpful if you needed them. Self check in a bit strange but worked well. Parking on a 1st come, 1st served basis and great if you secure a space - typical city centre. Overall, we will return.

We haven't stayed here for a couple of years but it has gone downhill since our last stay. There was hardly anyone at the reception desk. We were staying for 2 nights and on the first morning of our stay asked for our room to be made up. This was done just after 9am. When we returned to our room at 5pm it wasn't done. The rooms and decor are very dated and desperately need a refresh. Parking at the back is very limited and difficult to get a space. We will probably look for another hotel next time we are in Aberdeen.
