"Dirt"
I’ve stayed here a few times always been very good staff for breakfast we’re excellent but the room we stayed in was disgusting asked for the room to be cleaned all was done bed was made never noticed when leaving how bad dust everywhere crumbs at the bin ,wall badly marked one of the worst rooms I’ve ever stayed in
"Comfortably the worst Premier Inn I've stayed in"
Don't be deceived by the map. this hotel is 20 mins walk from the bus station, 25 mins from town. So unless you have a car, you'll be walking a lot or relying on the bus. There are no restaurants near the hotel, apart form the Premier Inn restaurant, which was adequate at best. There is an M&S food store and an Aldi nearby though. We found the hotel stairwell carpets to be a bit grubby, a sheet in the bedroom was clean but had a brown stain on it, and the bathroom had a permanent musty smell, which was unpleasant. I don't think the bathroom extractor fan was working. We're usually big fans of Premier Inns but we found this one way overpriced for the location (over £200 a night) and comfortably the worst Premier Inn we've stayed in. Can't fault the hotel staff though, they were friendly and helpful.
"Weekend Break in St Andrews"
Convenient hotel, a short walk out of the centre. It's an uphill walk on the way back so maybe not ideal for those with mobility issues. Staff were friendly, the hotel quiet and breakfast satisfactory. Car parking is partly shared with the neighbouring M&S food store but was never an issue while we were there. Obvious smell of cleaning fluids in corridors and room, but room was clean. Room lacked a fridge. Window didn't open (on a reasonably busy road but traffic noise wasn't a problem). Mattress was a bit soft for my liking and when I injured I was told or mattresses were the same. As a result I didn't sleep particularly well the two nights I stayed. Overall the hotel was adequate for a budget stay if you can book it at a reasonable price.
"Not the best!"
Stayed here for two nights to attend a local wedding. First the bad: Room is really stuffy, windows don’t open to allow fresh air in. There is a fan supplied. WIFI is an absolute JOKE!!!!!!! They offer free premier inn WIFI which does nothing! I paid for ULTIMATE WIFI at £5 for 24hrs and that is garbage also!!! What is going on here!! Breakfast was not the best I have had at premier inn. No eggs and none came to see that we were ok at our table. Only good thing is the car park has plenty spaces
"Comfy!"
Convenient and comfortable hotel. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Rooms are bright and airy. Beds are comfortable. Air con works well to cool room quickly. Breakfast is tasty with staff on hand to top up everything before things run low. Car park has plenty space.
