Dumfries hotel

I stopped here for six weeks through, through work. The hotel is comfortable and clean. There is a bar and restaurant next door, that I believe is going to close and be demolished. This is were breakfast and the evening meals are served. If you haven’t got transport this could be a problem as the bus service is every hour and a taxi ride is between £7.00 & £9.00. The staff are excellent, friendly and very helpful. I would definitely stop here again, even if it wasn’t on business, as it is ideally located for visiting West Scotland.

Huge construction site and shocking road condition, gave us a slow puncture. Whole inn very dirty, smells bad, fingernails in carpet, pubes in bathroom, greasy head mark on headboard. Hallways are quite horrible. Really nice staff, especially in restaurant at breakfast and dinner. Super nice to my 1 year old but unfortunately did not have the only suitable vegetarian meal - 10 veg pasta for him on kids menu, it was too late for us to find another option so had to give him pizza which I didn’t feel good about. Food is more mediocre than Wetherspoons but breakfast very nice - had to ask about veggie bacon and sausages and it was made to order but I wouldn’t have known to do that. We stayed here because it was cheap and that’s what we got but the cleanliness was really poor I was suprised by this for premier inn. I wish we hadn’t stayed here. It cost us more in a new tyre.

Great location was perfect to visit family for the night, family room was great 2 beds. The breakfast in the morning was delicious Angela and Anna was polite and helpful.

At first glance, the place looks tired, a wee bit run down but that has absolutely no reflection on the service we received from staff. Ate both dinner and breakfast and were treated so well. Angela in particular took such good care of us at breakfast. 5 stars from me.

Premier Inns are always perfect. But the best part was this time the breakfast with lovely Angela. She was so nice made sure we had everything and was really interested in our experiences in and around Dumfries.
