Dumfries hotel

I've stayed here a few times and always had excellent service. It is quiet and comfortable and close to the Dumfries bypass. The breakfasts are always very good. Angela who serves at breakfast is consistanly cheerful and helpful and always brightens up the day.

Standard Premier Inn but lack of air con made it hard to get decent sleep in the warm weather. Clean room and staff were very friendly

Premier Inns - just like a tin of Ronseal - these chain hotels do what they say on the tin. Adequate, no frills accommodation with comfortable beds and decent showers. My friend and I weren’t tied to a specific date and there was a significant difference in price between a Monday and a Tuesday night so if you can pick your date then select wisely and there are savings to be had. It’s a shame because there is a new McDonalds drive-thru being built directly in front of the hotel which does impact on your initial impression of the hotel - dust, noise and bumpy access road. If you can see past that though it provides a good base (2 miles from Dumfries town centre) from which to explore the surrounding area. A bar and restaurant are provided in an adjacent building from the accommodation block. Breakfast was varied, sufficient and warm, enhanced by our server, Angela who was friendly and chatty.

Sleep wasnt great but never is when you're not at home. Standard experience at a premier inn good check in times good checkout times. Breakfast was exceptional. Angela who served us was extremely friendly. Really nice to the kids and found us the best spot for a big family. Couldn't have asked for more
