"Refused food , !!!!!"
Ok our visit they was lots of parking, The room was clean The breakfast staff were friendly and helpful, on the second night after a long day walking and exploring the local area we went down for food only to be told sorry we've took a booking for 28 people so we can't accommodate you , maybe if you come back at 7.45 or 8ish we might be able too but it's going to be a long time , we explained but we are staying in the hotel , again we were told well there's nothing we can do about it sorry, one of our party was a little unwell and couldn't go out again looking for somewhere appropriate to eat , so went back to the room without food , this is absolutely disgusting that we were refused food
"Staff 5*, Hotel 5*, Restaurant 3*"
The Premier Inn in Stirling does exactly what it is supposed to, and the staff in both the hotel and the attached Beefeater were all lovely, but the experience was let down somewhat by the food. Check in was easy and our room was clean and tidy. We didn't hear any noise from outside the hotel and the other guests were generally quiet in the corridors. Location-wise it is convenient for train and bus stations, and parking onsite is included with your stay. Breakfast can be added to your stay, and the hot elements generally hit the spot, although there were elements missing from the continental side; during our stay they ran out of granola, yoghurt, fruit salad, and Nutella, meaning that the breakfast experience was a bit hit and miss. We'd still probably order the breakfast, but it was a shame that so many items were missing and not substituted (the orange juice had been swapped for orange and mandarin, for example). We ate at the Beefeater on the first night of our stay and it was disappointing. With hindsight we should have ordered off the grill because the curry was obviously a microwave job and quite insipid. Puddings were small for the price and, while nice enough, didn't feel like good value. The exception to this was the children's main and pudding, which were generally enjoyed and felt like a reasonable portion for the price. Overall, we would stay here again, but we'd probably go looking for better options for food in Stirling for dinner.
"Good stay"
Stayed here last month for a few days in Stirling. The hotel is very well located - just a short walk from the railway station and the city centre. Plenty enough parking throughout my stay and didn't have any issue driving away each day and back again. Room was very comfortable and to the usual high standard - I didn't have any issues what other people seem to have had. Nando's is situated opposite which was very handy, especially on the day where the internet went down and the Beefeater couldn't process any orders. Breakfast was decent although cooked to order rather than buffet (I prefer the latter if I'm honest). Would certainly stay here again.
"Good experience, but lack of cleanliness"
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was big and ok, but unfortunately very dusty in certain places. The bed and the bedding was fine and clean. And the bathroom was roomy and with a great shower.
"Good location"
Standard Premier Inn with a Premier Plus room. Beds comfortable. Short walk to train station and Stirling City Centre. The only thing I have issue with is that staff were almost non existent and that there was so much rubbish scattered around the hotel and bin out the front was constantly over flowing. Staff on duty should be responsible to do a quick clean up of the front and walkway to the car park.
