"Building Works Having a Bad Effect"
Staff very pleasant but hotel is currently a bit grim. It is sadly one that Premier Inn has decided to remove the restaurant from in favour of more rooms and the work is being undertaken now.
Those with mobility problems should be aware that there is currently no direct access from the car park to reception... it's not a long walk but a walk none the less.
Breakfast (albeit free) consists of hot drinks and prepackaged croissants and pain au chocolates, fruit and cereal boxes (but there are no bowls for the cereals).
The bedrooms are ok, dated and a bit grubby looking jn places but ok. I assume part of the building works will be to decorate the existing rooms.
I personally would not stay here again as it just does not feel very 'premier' at the moment.

"Not Happy with parking and entering or room"
If your disabled be ready for a long walk due to construction. Getting in through a fire exit should be signposted. After you have walked 100 yards to the entrance we were told they could let us enter through the fire exit. After we have walked 100 yds? Will not be returning until construction is over.
Also, didn't get a disabled room with walk in shower. Bathtub was a 2 foot high tub. Couldn't get in it.

"Pretty Good"
We had a couple of nights here recently. It was pretty much as we expect from PI. The room was comfortable, the bed large and comfy and a good shower room
There were renovations going on so the dining room and bar were closed (We knew about this in advance)
The hotel provided a complimentary breakfast of cereals, fresh fruit, orange juice, croissants and coffee or tea which was a nice touch
This PI is only a couple of minutes walk to the railway station and 5 minutes to the city centre
The staff were all helpful and friendly
Our one small issue would be that, although we were on the first floor, the windows could not be opened at all. Not sure why they should choose to do this

"Chain hotel under construction"
Great location. Just a few blocks from the city centre. Some of the employees should be sacked for not performing their duties satisfactorily.
There are no windows to open so it tends to get stuffy and damp despite the air conditioning system. The place is under construction and makes it feel like they aren’t too keen on keeping it nice as much of the old will be destroyed. Soap dispensers are rusted, bathrooms and beds are adequate.
* The beds are the only item of high quality standard at the hotel in my humble opinion. *Complimentary coffee and tea bar a plus.
