"Comfortable stay, but terrible wifi"
The hotel in overall was a comfortable stay. The mattress was very comfortable and the room was spacious enough for a short trip. The location was also very conveniently close to the train and bus station in Stirling. There is a restaurant (Nando's) right across as well as a cinema. There is also a Lidl nearby at around a 10 minute walk.
Main downsides:
The free wifi is extremely slow, basically unusable. There is an option to pay for premium wifi which is really fast, but it costs around £5 per day. The cellphone service is also pretty bad so you also cannot use your mobile data and will usually end up paying the premium wifi.
You need to ask for housekeeping at the front desk every day that you need it. One day we asked for it and they did not come at all anyways.

"Not great at the moment might be better when refurbishment done"
Was informed with email about the work going on with restaurant closed and new accommodation rooms being built beforehand so expected noise pollution and that
Arrived at hotel staff very friendly and that just thought it was a bit messy then I walked to my room could clearly see the place has housekeeping and maintenance issues I mean the lift still had Covid-19 protocols inside it then checked into room thought it was filthy the wardrobe was covered in dust on top like an inch thick the lampshades had stains all over them the headboard was marked with just for men maybe and the kettle didn't work properly almost decided not to stay and go elsewhere felt dirty
Decided to ask reception for a room move to a better room all sorted out must get this all the time shame really as it can easily affect the staff attitude as an negative workplace environment
Went into better room just the toilet had false hair in it long black hair and im a skinhead so not one of mine didn't complain about it just thought fine sorted out myself did have a working kettle 🙂
Should be alright when things get sorted out maybe

"Avoid"
Do not book this hotel.
The room was not clean on arrival. Carpet not hovered and used cotton bud on the floor by bed. We complained and the bud was removed but carpet didn’t look any cleaner.
We went out in the evening to the cinema on our second night. On our arrival back at 11pm we had to scan in to get through the front doors. The doors would not work and the staff member had to help us in. The staff member was huffing and visibly annoyed that they had to help us and very rudely told us ‘how to do the door next time’ while rolling her eyes.
The bathroom had a bad drain smell after using the shower. The headboard was badly stained.
If you have accessibility needs the lifts do not work so have to take the stairs. The corridors and stairs are not clean.
Would not return to this hotel under any circumstance.

"Convenient location"
For context, I stayed for two nights in Premier Inn Plus Room 207 whilst travelling for work.
The hotel’s biggest advantage is undoubtedly its location. It is approximately a five-minute walk from Stirling railway station. On leaving the station, turn left, walk up and over the bridge, and the hotel is directly opposite the Vue Cinema. There are also several nearby food options, including Nando’s and Toast, which is ideal for breakfast, brunch or lunch.
At the time of my stay, the hotel was undergoing refurbishment. The main car park was being redeveloped, although alternative parking was available opposite the hotel. The on-site restaurant was also closed, meaning there was no cooked breakfast available. Instead, reception offered a small continental selection of pastries and light breakfast items.
The Room
Overall, the room was spacious, modern and what I would expect from a Premier Inn Plus room.
The bed was extremely comfortable and I slept well on both nights. The room included a coffee machine, tea-making facilities, a well-performing mini fridge, complimentary still and sparkling water, air conditioning, ironing facilities and a hairdryer.
A couple of small observations:
* The complimentary water was not replenished during my two-night stay.
* There were no biscuits provided with the tea and coffee, which felt like a missed touch.
* The coffee pods were not labelled, making it difficult to know which variety or whether any were decaffeinated.
The fridge performed exceptionally well and was genuinely cold, there were a few crumbs inside and you can’t just adjust the tray as the door doesn’t open wide enough.
The air conditioning worked, although it appeared to be centrally controlled and could not be set below 21°C. Personally, I prefer sleeping in a cooler room, so this was a slight disappointment.
Housekeeping
There were a handful of minor housekeeping issues which did not impact my stay but are worth mentioning.
The back cover of the hairdryer had detached, although it still worked perfectly well. The ironing board had been stored behind the curtains rather than in a cupboard, so it took a little while to locate.
There were also a few hairs left in the shower, two spare pillows had been left without pillowcases (only pillow protectors), and I noticed a couple of small holes in the bottom of the duvet cover.
These were all relatively minor oversights rather than anything that affected my overall experience.
Noise & Refurbishment
Despite the refurbishment works, disruption was minimal.
I did not experience any construction noise during the mornings before leaving for work. On returning to the hotel before approximately 6pm, some refurbishment noise was audible, but nothing that negatively affected my stay.
Overall
Considering the ongoing refurbishment, I thought the hotel was well managed and represented good value. Once the restaurant and parking facilities reopen, I imagine the overall guest experience will improve further.
The excellent location, comfortable bed and spacious room were the standout positives. Whilst there were a few minor housekeeping issues, none were significant enough to detract from what was otherwise a pleasant two-night stay.
I would happily stay here again when visiting Stirling.

"Stay somewhere else"
What a dump. Told no restaurant, lounge and limited parking in advance. Didn’t know we had to trail luggage along main road , try to find the reception, ring for the receptionist 3 times then be shown along dark, dingy corridor to a dingy bedroom. This whole hotel needs urgent refurb.
