"DON'T Stay"
On our stay the night of 7th June in room 202 we noticed when we turned the TV of at 9.30pm a loud dripping noise coming from bathroom. On investigation found a steady flow of brown sewerage fluid coming through the downlight over the bath. It was putrid and foul smelling. There was no compendium in the room advising who to contact and I got dressed , went downstairs trying to find someone to no avail.
We put the rooms bathmat under the drip to try reducing the noise, by morning was brown and put pillows and towels against door to reduce smell. Tried to get some sleep.
We found someone at 6am who was setting up the breakfast, she advised could not do anything about it we would have to talk to reception when they come on at 7am.
Luckly we were traveling with my daughter and 2 young children so showered in her room . She was in 012.
When I did talk to Reception, he noted the breakfast staff had already logged the issue and that we would have to discuss a refund with the office. Advised to contact with complaint number 0333 003 0025. Offered to give another room but were about to leave for international flight back to New Zealand. Very tired.
One of the senior staffer the receptionist sort advice, commented that room 202 was under the Lift room and had been consistent rain. As if had happened before. The ceiling certainly looked as it had sustained leaks before.
My daughter advised Premier Inn’s as reliable and had used previous. Did have trouble booking online as your office changed pricing during my online booking process and had to start again. The price went up due to no restaurant – construction work and giving free sort of breakfast in paper cups. It was the location we were after close to Edinburgh Airport transport. As my husband is an Electrician in a high Tourist area and works on Tourist accommodation daily, we understood what under construction meant. He also has seen his fare share of buckets in roofs to deal with leaks. This leak was not rainwater. By time we left the room the drip had slowed.
I realize incidents due occur, but feel a refund is warranted and card charge reversed. Have tried and tried to contact someone to respond to no avail .

"Stirling in June"
As always the bed and bedroom were clean and very comfortable. As the restaurant is being rebuilt, the walk from the car park to reception is fairly lengthy and, had it been raining, we would have been soaked and so would our luggage. A temporary covered walk way would help as would a shorter walk maybe through a back entrance rather than all the way round the outside of the building?

"Not recommended"
The room smells really bad we are at the back of the building I had no sleep last night on account of the smell going for my chest. Long black hairs left in the bath, I spilt water on the bathroom floor and grabbed some toilet paper to dry it and was almost sick with the dirt and hairs I picked up. There is also a pillow under the bed? (so obviously the carpet hasn’t been hoovered since the last people were here)

"Exceptionally good"
First time stayed at Premier Inn, stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed free complimentary breakfast, rooms are clean and spacious, as expected. Location is perfect, close to local train/bus stations and city centre. Staff was very polite and experienced, easy to check in and check out. Definitely come back here again. Highly recommend.
