Falkirk North hotel

We stayed at Premier inn Falkirk north. Its not got anything around close to eat you have to drive.we arrived to be told no food avaliable from the pub next door as closed and we should of had an email but we did not receive one.failing to be informed before we could of looked around for a pub else where.They did offer a continental breakfast.in the premier inn reception. To our disappointment we we given a cold pastry no fruit or fruit juice or the coffee we were promised. Unfortunately we had to either drive a distance for food or buy from the garage next to the premier inn. The room was ok slept good . On our last day of the stay the pub reopened and we had a good breakfast very good price as we were staying in premier inn.

⭐ 1 Star – Very Disappointing Stay Unfortunately, our stay at this Premier Inn was extremely disappointing. From the moment we arrived, there was a horrible, strong and unpleasant smell throughout the corridor and inside our room. It was very uncomfortable and certainly not what you would expect from a Premier Inn. We asked if we could change rooms because of the smell, but we were told that there were no other rooms available. To make matters worse, on the second night, my daughter took a shower and the water came out of the bathtub/bathroom area, leaving the entire bathroom flooded with water. This was extremely inconvenient and unacceptable. We expected a clean, comfortable and well-maintained room, but unfortunately, this stay fell far below those basic standards. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this hotel and would expect much better from Premier Inn.

We visited as a family of four. Positives: •friendly and helpful staff.One lady on the front desk was so kind and chatted to my daughter for a while and made her smile when she gave her a treat for the long journey we had. •food was good and staff were always available. •location is good for sightseeing and access to the motorway. Cons: •With the three beds (double and two small singles) it made getting in out of bed quite tricky due to space constraints. •The main issue was heat.There’s no air con and we only had a fan.We woke up and the room was 28C.We were on a ground floor room (next to the BP garage) with the children’s beds next to the window so didn’t feel comfortable with the window being open.My husband woke up feeling ill due to the heat. If they sorted out the heat issue it would be a great hotel.

Very poor night's sleep due to the heat and stuffiness of the room. As standard,the windows barely open. But worse...no air conditioning at all in this hotel. Yes, a fan had been left in the room, but had barely any effect. Not getting to sleep until nearly 3:30am because of this was problematic. We were booked in for 2 nights, so for the following night I bought a clip on fan to put next to the bed, it was either that our cancel. Premier Inn head office are going to HAVE to address the issue that SOME of their hotels have air-conditioning, and some don't. Given the increasing high temperatures here in the UK, it will be essential, not an added extra. Definitely won't be staying at that site again.

I stayed at the Premier Inn Falkirk Park North for three nights, arriving on Thursday 23rd July. On arrival, I was allocated Room 106 on the first floor. The room itself was clean and appeared to be well presented. However, when I opened the bathroom door, there was a strong unpleasant odour coming from the bathroom. Fortunately, once the bathroom door was closed, the smell didn’t affect the main bedroom, so it wasn’t a major issue during my stay. My biggest disappointment was the housekeeping service. Before going out on my second day, I asked reception if the room could be serviced after two nights, including changing the bedding, emptying the bin and replacing the towels. I was assured this would be done, and I also placed the housekeeping tag on my door. When I returned later that day, I found the room had not been touched at all. I went back to reception to report this, but was simply told that all the housekeepers had finished for the day. The only solution offered was two small hand towels and a bin bag so I could empty the bin myself. This was very disappointing and not the level of service I expect from Premier Inn. The restaurant and bar area also looks very tired and is in desperate need of refurbishment. The upholstery on the long bench seating was filthy and ripped in places, to the extent that you were actually sitting on the exposed foam padding. It creates a very poor first impression. Overall, I found this stay very disappointing. While the bedroom itself was clean, the lack of housekeeping, poor response to the issue, and the tired condition of the restaurant and bar mean this hotel falls well below the standard I have come to expect from Premier Inn.
