"Not impressed"
The accessible room was up a slope and as far away from reception as possible. This made it much harder to report the unacceptable noise from the children jumping off the bed on the floor above.
On our first night, we ate at the restaurant. There were only us and a group of 3 men sitting near us. Despite this, our bill showed their drinks added to ours.
The following night was busy and the staff simply couldn't cope. Rather than have one person taking the orders and others dealing with drinks and a third dealing with the billing, it was chaos and the bus driver of the tour group Happy Tours became loud, abusive and rude to everyone, including other guests. All because he felt the staff were 'incompetent ' as he had not been served at all. Whilst his actions and behaviour was not acceptable, several others in their tour group were still waiting for their food after 30 minutes. Yet again our own bill was incorrect and I could have walked away having paid only a few pounds instead of the Meal Deal price for two.
As for the room, there are no instructions as to how to use the thermostatic controls, nowhere except the floor to rest the toiletries for the shower, making it a falls risk.
This was my first ever stay at a Premier Inn. Not very impressed.

"A stopover in Falkirk"
Room smelled of damp other than that it was ok I guess it’s just bad luck for me.
The rest of the room was a reasonable standard it was slightly dated and in need of a refresh no usb points in room and the wifi was poor to non existent.
We visited the on site restaurant we had to book a time although it was not busy, we waited 15 mins on our order being taken and a further hour on food coming to table. On saying this when it arrived it was of very good quality and freshly cooked, so worth the wait the breakfast next morning was again fine but some products could have been a little warmer

"Worlds warmest room"
Had the worst night sleep possible. The room was an ambient temperature of 26 degrees there where 2 fans already in the hotel room which where of absolutely no use what so ever.
Breakfast was as expected.
Good location if going Edinburgh airport however had no sleep so was tired on the day of travel.

"“ Let me tell you a little story .. of reception , chef and staff and our new friend Cory”"
We chose this premier inn as a bit of nostalgia as we had our first date here and that was 20yrs or so ago and we were now celebrating hubby’s birthday . Our journey took a bit longer than expected with traffic issues , however en route I asked hubby to check the time of restaurant closing . We both assumed it was still Cadgers brae “Brewers Fayre” but it said permanently closed .😱😱We booked the meal deal for two nights ( where were we going to eat). Discovered that this premier inn had taken over the restaurant so 😅 what a relief.
Quick check in quicker than most but as I proceed you will get to know why.
Room as usual just what we expect from a premier inn. Warm and clean and “ does what it says on the tin “. A quick freshen up and off to dinner . Where we find reception gentleman in the restaurant too. Staffing has changed considerably but probably due to changes in the hospitality industry and cut backs . A jack of all trades you have to be now . Reception, bar work , waitressing and sometimes kitchen too. Less staff more duties . However these guys were amazing and made our stay very special . Nothing too much bother and the service I would say was better than it was in the olden days when it was a separate restaurant . We are told that big plans afoot for the restaurant which will be smaller and more niche and more rooms of a higher standard to be made with part of the restaurant area . Can’t wait to see what happens. The meal deal we have done many times and for two nights with breakfast and dinner included ( as we had a budget ) it was “ AMAZING VALUE FOR MONEY “👍👍👍. I had the soup tomato and basil and just how I remembered it .😋. Hubby had the BBQ CHICKEN wings and they were so moist and fell off the bone so well delicious . Mains I had the Fish and Chips and mushy peas . Fish beautifully cooked and just enough chips no overkill with the chips which for me is good . Hubby had the chicken curry again well tasty . The wine was reasonably priced too . Second night I had the soup again and hubby had the prawn cocktail . Hubby had the fish and chips and I skipped the mains and had a dessert the chocolate sundae. Service was impeccable and couldn’t fault it at all . The guy at breakfast time was so smiley and happy and welcoming and obviously loved his job . All in all a fantastic stay and the 12 noon check out is a great selling point for us as it takes us oldies a bit longer to rise in the morning . 😍. Thanks guys we will be back . X
