Bedroom stuffy and smelly. In need of deep clean

Welcome I used the hotel in July and august of 2026. The welcome was friendly and good but you do have to ring a bell for the member of staff to serve you. Room I found the room clean and tidy. In addition to the table, chair in the room there was fan already on when I got there, probably because of the recent heat wave which was good. The downsides to the room where the bed was too tall and the shower was one of those done off the taps rather than a power shower which and the step into the bath was reasonably large which may be a issue for some. Restaurant/bar The pub/restaurant next to and ran by the hotel was generally good. The staff were very good and nice. The food is as expected which was good. The down side is the bar closed around 9:30 which was a tad annoying when we want a quiet drink at the end of the day. In addition because the premier inn only has a small amount of staff they had (one person was the hotel ‘receptionist’ and a second person in bar when needed) you had to book a slot for dinner. Not the end of the world but if you’re not sure if you want to eat out or not (because you want to be flexible) or unsure what time you going to be back to the hotel. Thirdly the cubicle toilet in the men’s struggled to close because there was not enough space. Most of these a minor issues but annoying non the less. Generally it was a good stay.

I stayed at the Premiere Inn for 5 weeks while on a training course and I can not recommend the staff highly enough, especially Corey and Bob. They went above and beyond to make the stay enjoyable and whenever there was a concern, it was dealt with immediately without any fuss. Thank you so much for making my stay feel like a home away from home.

Rooms were far too hot and smelled damp. Overnight temperature in room was 28.5 degrees even though the outside temperature was 12 degrees. We had 2 fans running in the room overnight, window open and slept with just a sheet. Premier Inn’s Good Night Guarentee is a joke. No chance of getting a refund unless you get up in the middle of the night and wander the corridors to find a member of staff. Also lack of staff, although the staff that were working were great and worked very hard and tried their absolute best to keep everyone happy.

The room was unbearably hot on the ground floor even with fans running and window open. The other room was on 1st floor but the lift was broken and not fixed in the 3 days, even though they said someone was coming to fix it.
