"Would have been colder sleeping in the boiler room as at least its vented."
Having stayed at this location previously it is in most respects one of the better ones in the area, with easy access and rooms in good order. However this time it was uncomfortable to the point of the room being pretty much unsleepable in. With the outside temperature as 21C it wasnt a surprise that the rooms may be a bit warmer than normal on the ground floor, with even a note at reception saying that if you need a sheet rather than a duvet, ask. Howver, placing us in the room next to the boiler room at the end of the corridor, where internal fire doors are shut and only a sliver of a window can be opened meant that it never dropped below 29C and pretty much stayed at 30C for the two days, even with two fans on running constantly. Trying to sleep at night was an effort and that room should not have been used. Also why cant Premier spend £25 on a signal booster for their TV input - most of the digital channels were unwatchable due to weak signal strength. I was brought up in the area near this site and know fine well there are two transmitters so this just a lazy installation (same in Larbert and Airth ones as well).
      "Very enjoyable stay"
Although the room could have been better maintained, the quality of the food more than made up for that, only stayed so we could visit the Kelpies and they were right on the doorstep
"Restaurant has good food but closes too early"
Good location for kelpies and Falkirk wheel. Staff all friendly and helpful. Rooms clean but smell a little fusty. Restaurant food was generally pretty good, steaks were not as good as other options. Breakfast very good. Our main problem with restaurant was last orders were at 9.30 and asked to leave at 10pm. We are on our holidays and nowhere in hotel to sit and have a drink! Back at room by 10pm. We may be pensioners but not dead yet! We were the only 4 people left at 9.30 then four more came in at 9.50 and were turned away. We didn’t find anywhere in walking distance to drink or eat.
      "Quiet hotel with great bed"
Great bed, very comfortable and slept well. Room clean & tidy but bathroom door hook was missing and the main light in the bathroom was out during our two night stay despite reporting it the first day. Made the bathroom dark. Otherwise a nice stay, hotel was quiet. Pity about snags.
"One night stay in Premier Inn"
Room was spotless as well as bathroom. Bed was very comfortable. Hotel is situated in a quiet location. Had to wait a while for someone to book us in when we arrived. Buzzer was hidden on a messy desk. The firstPremier Inn I’ve stayed in for poor service.
