"Avoid"
First night i stayed on was the 9th. The staff was very polite and helpful.
However we requested a 6am breakfast the next day which was no hassle at the time.
The next day I was greeted by a very rude large chap on the 10th. Obviously was very upset he had to check us in for breakfast for 6am. Never met such an unnecessary, snappy, impolite person in my life.

"Great stay, Great service, Especially Stephen and the lovely Ukrainian lady (sorry I forgot her name)"
We stayed at the Premier Inn Oban as a family of three in late May and were very pleasantly surprised, both by the hotel itself and by Oban as a destination. It's a lovely town with plenty to see and do, making it a great base for a family break.
We took the car to explore the surrounding area and visited a number of local attractions, including McCaig's Tower, Dunstaffnage Castle, and the Oban Distillery, which was fantastic. I'd also highly recommend a trip to Glencoe, which is only around a 30-minute drive away. The scenery is breathtaking, there's plenty of history for those interested, and you'll find some excellent pubs along the way.
The Premier Inn is superbly located right in the centre of town. You're within easy walking distance of the many pubs, restaurants and the distillery, meaning you can enjoy a drink without worrying about driving afterwards. The ferry terminal is also only a couple of minutes' walk away, making it ideal if you're planning any island trips.
While this isn't the cheapest Premier Inn I've stayed in, that's to be expected given the limited accommodation available in Oban and its popularity as a tourist destination. The hotel is a modern building, the rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the bathrooms are clean and well maintained. As with most Premier Inns, you know you're getting a consistently good standard of accommodation.
The food represents very good value. The breakfast was excellent every morning, which is something I've come to expect from Premier Inn. Dinner isn't fine dining, but it's perfectly enjoyable and reasonably priced. The meal deals are particularly good value, offering a filling breakfast and evening meal with a drink for a very fair price.
The staff were all friendly and helpful, but two people deserve a special mention. Firstly, Stephen behind the bar, who was excellent throughout our stay and is one of the reasons I'd happily recommend the hotel (wink!). Secondly, a lovely Ukrainian lady who worked both on reception and in the restaurant. Unfortunately, I've forgotten her name, but she was consistently welcoming, professional and a real credit to the hotel.
Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would happily return if we visit Oban again. A great hotel in a brilliant location and an excellent base for exploring one of Scotland's most beautiful coastal towns.

"Be prepared"
Automatic check in no staff around in reception had to go into the restaurant to find a person for help.
Cost £7.50 to park overnight in nearby carpark as hotel has very little spaces for size of hotel. But you need to pay for parking even if you get a space at hotel
Only 1 lift working.
Heating/air conditioner is so noisy and kept switching it's self off and no opening window in room

"Great stay, warm and welcoming hotel"
Stayed 2 nights at Oban premier in while travelling around Scotland. The location is right on the doorstep of the beautiful port with warm welcoming atmosphere. On arrival we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist didn’t catch her name, check in was straight forward she was very polite and welcoming. The room was spotless had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Had breakfast which was fresh and plenty of choice. Stephen was working front of house we were greeted with the biggest smile such a lovely lad. We asked for recommendations for somewhere we could get a roast dinner later in the day and his recommendation didn’t disappoint. When we returned back to hotel for couple of drinks I was surprised to see him still working. He told us he was on a split shift, still smiling and being very professional with his job role. Stephen is a credit to the company. Will definitely recommend Oban premier inn and will return ourselves in the future, such great value for money.
