"Staying for 3 nights sightseeing and rugby game."
The area isn't the best in Dublin with a lot of homeless and drug addicts between the hotel and the river Liffey (Merchant's Quay). The hotel was okay although the small bed wasn't very comfy. Breakfast was good. You have to request for towel changes and room cleaning, we did but they did not do it. The next morning they said they were too busy and didn't get around to it.
"Hotel location good, appalling check in."
This is a new looking hotel in a handy location in Dublin, unfortunately it is badly let down by poor check-in process and lack of staff. This was the worst check in process that i have ever experienced with Premier Inn. Check in starts from 3pm and when we arrived at 3:45 the queue was all the way back to the street outside with sometimes 1 person checking-in. We found out this was due to many guests rooms not being ready yet. When we eventually got to the desk, we also were told our room wasn’t ready and would have to wait. Unacceptable. Another guest asked for a drink from the bar to be told no staff as they were checking in!!! We ended up with 3 different booking confirmations after they tried to give us a double bed after we booked a quad. Farcical and won’t use again. Tut Tut Premier Inn.
"Very Disappointed, not the usual standard expected!"
Room wasn’t cleaned properly, no bath towels, missing furniture, bedding had marks on bottom sheet and pillow case, some of the lightbulbs in the bathroom had blown and not been replaced, pillows were thin with no head support and mattress was inferior not the usual standard I would expect from Premier Inn. I picked up towels from reception and was given ones with lipstick marks on! We booked a quad room and was given a disabled room with only two single beds. Was really disappointed as the web site portrays the hotel as new, reality is it’s not! Extremely poor value for money
"Room ok , breakfast was a shambles. Over stretched kitchen staff struggling to keep up."
Room was ok but stay let down by breakfast. Poor lady in the kitchen was run ragged, no yoghurt, long queue for cooked food
"New, clean and modern hotel, but breakfast needs improvement"
We stayed here as part of a short trip to Dublin. The hotel was cheap and near to the Guinness factory so it was fine for us. Upon arrival, we were early but offered early check-in for £15. We declined but were able to leave luggage behind reception. Upon returning, we requested a room on a lower floor (due to not liking lifts) which was actually an accessible room with a huge walk-in bathroom. This wasn't ideal, due to a fold down seat that got in the way of the shower, but it was fine for two nights. The room was spacious, bright, and the bed was reasonably comfy, but most importantly it had good working air conditioning! The hotel itself is well placed and easily accessible by bus from the train station or airport (with a bit of walking). Breakfast was poorly organised on the Tuesday morning due to a lack of staff. Nothing was cooked ready, a queue had formed and the room was busy. The layout of the breakfast items is also poor. Luckily things were better on the Wednesday morning. Overall, I would recommend for a short visit (2-3 nights) but not for more than that.
