    "Not great at all."
I arrived at 14.40 and asked to check in, I was asked did I pay for early check in? I said, for less than 20 minutes? No, then I was told by the guy, he was not allowed to check anyone in til 3pm, fair. So I waited and then had to join a large queue to then not be checked in til roughly 3.30pm? During this time, there were no bar staff working to even get a coffee whilst waiting. We had meal deals booked, called reception around 5-5.30pm to book in and they kept picking up the phone, not saying anything and just leaving it on the desk, 3 times, we could hear them typing and talking. We then had to go downstairs to book in for dinner and ask why they were doing that with the phone, they apologised and said 'they usually say hello'. We would have been waited if they just answered and said sorry hold on please, we're a little busy at the moment. In the room, they advertise a 'strong shower', to me it was not strong, I would say no pressure at all. Would have been nice to have drinking water in the rooms. Booked a twin room but the second bed is just a sofa bed, be mindful of that. Breakfast was chaos, the toasters were not turned on so we could not toast our bread after putting them through the machine 15+ times, there was no fruit left, the hot food was cold, we ordered poached eggs and they were hard. Maybe everyone at that time had a bad experience cause people were so rude during the breakfast service, pushing past and butting in to get food, there was no queuing etiquette at all.
"Good room but room for improvement"
It was a pleasant stay. Room was not big but ok for the 3 of us. Beds were very comfy. Breakfast was amazing with good variety of foods and always being replenished quickly. The area is not brilliant as in there’s not many shops nearby. There’s one conscience shop and there is a cinema and Dunnes store nearby at the point village. Close to Lua and buses that take you to the city centre, which is half an hour walk away more or less. It would be helpful If there could be more members of staff at reception as there’s usually only 1 and the queues can get quite long. Ensure that the staff at reception know that you want your room cleaned in the morning as I told them on two occasions and the room was not done when I got back from my day out.
"Average stay - but make sure you add the extra as they don't accommodate short notice requests"
The room was good. Didn't book breakfast as were undecided, we asked at reception can we decide in the morning and pay for it then, was told yes that fine. Came down for breakfast with the 2 kids only to be told no walk ins, very disappointing for a hotel not to have something planned out incase this happens like have a side room or a section reserved for this.
    "Clean and comfortable "
Booked last minute as we had to attend a funeral. Because we took an overnight ferry we arrived at 6am. The friendly receptionist explained that if there had been a room available she would have let us have it. We were able to leave our bags so that meant we could continue with our business. We checked in later. Even though the room was small. There was 2 adults and 2 teenagers it suited our purpose. The hotel itself is a 5 minute walk from the 3 arena and a 10 minute ride in the Luas into the city centre. The hotel was spotless. The service was really good from the friendly staff. We had a small hic-up at check in where they gave use a double room instead of a family room, but a quick visit to reception and it was sorted. We had breakfast and there was plenty of selection, we weren't rushed to eat breakfast but when people left their table a member of staff was in to clean and turnover the table. The bar had a good selection of drinks and the seating area was well laid and comfortable. Overall we had a very comfortable and pleasant stay even though we wee there for a funeral. We will be back.
"Don't expect too much and lock any new labeled clothes in your suitcase."
NO PARKING AVAILABLE FROM THE HOTEL - PARKING IS AVAILABLE DOWN THE STREET IN A MULTI-STOREY AT 35 EUROS PER OVERNIGHT. BEWARE, VERY VERY ACTIVE WARDENS ARE CLAMPING CARS, INCLUDING RENTAL CARS OF UNSUSPECTING COMPLETE STRANGERS VISITING THE AREA The hotel seemed short of staff. Good enough location. HAD A BRAND NEW ITEM OF CLOTHING STOLEN OUT OF MY ROOM. Tried to eat in the restaurant at about 8 pm on arrival, stood at the till for about five minutes, being ignored by the waitress controlling access about six feet away. Eventually, we were asked if we had a reservation, to which we said we had just driven from Scotland, to be told that there was no space. When we pointed to the tables saying they are empty, we were then told it has nothing to do with the tables, it's to do with the kitchen. Had to then walk about, weary, trying to find a hotel or restaurant in what was still a strange place for us to eat. Friendliness and Hospitality are zero for those events.
