    "A great family experience"
We were initially a bit surprised by the exterior of the hotel, which didn’t look like much, and the parking was a bit far ( about a one-kilometer walk) but the path was very easy. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by Lucas, who was very friendly and attentive to our questions and requests. Our room was spotless and surprisingly spacious for the price we paid. The next morning, breakfast was very tasty and served hot. Although the staff seemed a bit short-handed for the amount of people there and some items occasionally ran out, the two young men working there did their best to keep things replenished
    "Great location"
Great central location , beds comfy . Had two accessible rooms but only one bed ! Booked twin . No where for reduced mobility people to set their case so if you can reach the floor then it’s ok . Very spacious room so could have had one of the stools in it … bathroom was great size for them and the chair in shower was great. I would stay here again due to price .
    "Tragically understaffed..."
My first point is that it is not a review of the staff at Premier inn cork. All those I interacted with were doing their best. My first interaction at the hotel was with an empty reception desk. After waiting for a while, I went to ask a waitress at the bar to check in. She was very pleasant, left her duties and helped us with our checkin. Having worked my career in hotels. I also value polyvalence, and did not mind. At breakfast, it was another story. At 8.30am, breakfast room was full and with only 2 waiters running the breakfast service which includes welcoming guests, clearing tables, refilling the buffet etc. Despite their best efforts, they could not be everywhere, get all tables cleaned and keep up with buffet refills. Having done their jobs, it was evident that they were seriously understaffed even for a standard that a budget hotel aims to offer. Then there was only one waiter left since the second one left the breakfast to man the reception desk for check outs etc... By empathy, I cleared my own table to the back kitchen when leaving. I was surprised not to see any manager around. But understood when I saw them cleaning the rooms upstairs. When speaking to the staff, it seems clear that this is a normal day at premier inn. Which is not the case when comparing to another stay a few days before at premier inn Dublin docklands. There, polyvalence was also present but the team were never stretched as far as not being able to provide service. I understand the importance of managing costs but you can't expect your team to perform magic...
"Value for money in a time of exorbitant hotel prices"
The hotel is ideally located for ease of access to all central Cork city attractions. The hotel was clean and welcoming, staff friendly and efficient, check in was quick for us. But at times we noticed the due to the limited number of staff available carrying out multiple functions such as bar and reception we noticed some guests experience delays in service. The rooms we clean modern, with extremely comfortable beds.
    "Dirty Toilets"
Toilets in the bar and dining area where filthy and there was no toilet paper available anywhere. I can only comment on the gents toilets.
