"Good quality hotel room with nice food and only a short taxi ride from the city centre."
A good quality hotel on the edge of Derry city. The hotel had everything I needed. Good quality, comfortable room, free parking and a good quality breakfast offering.
"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"
We stayed at this Premier Inn over a weekend recently and our overall experience could be described as the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The Good The hotel's location is ideal with easy access and plenty of free parking, just a 5 min drive from the city centre. The room was spacious and clean and as you'd expect from a Premier Inn the bed was extremely comfortable. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The meal we had on our second night at the adjoining restaurant was delicious. The Bad Unfortunately the window in our room could not be opened at all, and even when a staff member set the heating onto a chill setting and provided us with a fan the lack of fresh air in the room made it a little stuffy for someone with respiratory issues. There was no cooked breakfast available on either morning of our stay, and on the second morning some of the pastries seemed stale, probably leftover from the morning before. The bar/restaurant closed early on the first night of our stay meaning no meal or drink available. The Ugly The carpet in the bar/restaurant was absolutely filthy. I would go so far as to say that as it was an area where food was being served and consumed it could amount to a health hazard. I would say that it's so bad it's uncleanable and needs to be completely replaced.
"Family holiday"
The room was clean and spacious ( premium plus). The staff was friendly and helpful. The prebooked breakfast didn't meet the expectations.
"Bar and Restaurant Closed"
Very poor service. Arrived at the restaurant at 8pm to be told they shut at 7:30pm without notice. Bar also stopped serving at 9pm. I chose this hotel because I could have some food and a few drinks but was severely let down. Very poor experience and not the way to run a business!
"100% better than Ramada Belfast"
After 5 nights sweating in a Ramada room in Belfast this was a pure joy. We upgraded premier plus and the rooms are class and have A/C! Restaurant, breakfast, access, bar, location and staff are great.
