"The Little Details"
The Premier Inn fits the bill and whilst the location is not the best the service I particularly get from Ruth was and is excellent. So I go back. It’s the customer experience for sure. WiFi very patchy and I couldn’t put drinks I bought for colleagues on my room for some reason even though I could put a meal and a drink on my room. …but as ai say, the service from Ruth is wonderful
"Ideally located but the staff."
The location of this Premier Inn is ideal, conveniently placed for exploring Belfast and especially handy for visiting the Titanic Quarter. The hotel itself was clean and tidy, and the value for money was somewhat okay. However, the service left a lot to be desired. From the moment we arrived, we were met with poor attitudes from nearly every staff member we encountered. When I first walked in, I was a bit disoriented and said to the receptionist, “I might be a bit early but I’m hoping to check in.” Before Shona, one of the receptionists, could assist me, another woman standing next to her abruptly snapped, “Check-in is at 3.” Shona, who was the only kind and professional staff member we dealt with, gently asked for my name and whether I had paid for early check-in. I confirmed that I had. The rude woman then simply went quiet and stood there without saying another word—not even an apology or clarification. Thankfully, Shona continued and checked us in. Later that evening, after coming back from a night out, we went downstairs to get more tea, milk, and sugar, having used the ones in our room earlier. There were none available in the lobby area. We asked a staff member on duty if the supplies could be restocked and were told that some would be brought up to our room. That never happened. Aside from Shona, who was genuinely lovely and helpful, the rest of the staff, from the porter we shared the lift with to those on night duty, were consistently rude, abrupt, or completely disinterested. There was a general atmosphere of coldness and a clear lack of customer service. Frankly, if working with people is such an inconvenience to them, they might be better suited to roles that don’t require basic decency or interaction. Kindness doesn’t cost a penny, and sadly, it was missing throughout our stay.
"Can you sleep? I SAID CAN YOU SLEEP?! NO?! ME NEITHER!!"
Clean, modern, friendly staff and great food. Unfortunately the noise from traffic in the street s horrendous. It isn't persistent but is regular and frequently very loud, reverberating off the Citi building opposite and turning the street in to an engine noise echo chamber. Not sure why lorries and commercial traffic feel the need to "beep" at past 10pm, but they do. Belfast seems to have a loft of people with modified exhausts and heavy right feet. The food was absolutely fantastic, the staff were friendly and the beds extremely comfortable. Internet connection here (free WiFi) was very slow. I'm on O2 and tethering to that was not a lot quicker. (Approx 1mb up and down).
"Car Park Problems"
Like all other hotels in this chain it is clean functional, comfortable and in a good location. Everything worked as it should. Breakfast was a buffet style. Food well prepared and attractively presented. We also had an Evening Meal here which also did not disappoint. Access to the car park was a bit tight to negotiate. There is no direct road link from the car passenger drop off point at the front of the hotel and the car park without driving around the block some distance. On one night when we returned to the hotel with our car and found it impossible to find a space to park. We had to park our car in another car park which was expensive. It was also some distance away from the Hotel which in the rain was as bit annoying and wet There does not appear to be enough car park spaces to accommodate all guests. All of the staff where friendly and most helpful.
"Great stay"
The staff very very helpful. Manager went out of his way to get oat milk for me. They could be more obliging. Hotel was clean and comfortable.
