"InnBelfast Hotel Stay"
The InnBelfast hotel didn't disappoint. Not only is is in a great location but the room was large and the bathroom very nice indeed. It was clean and even when there was the odd issue, they were quick to remedy it. The staff were friendly and I must mention Russell - he was on reception for two of the three days I was there and not only was friendly and inviting, he spent time recommending places to eat and visit (without his recommendation for the Crumlin Gaol, I would never have gone - it was outstanding!). Additionally, they had a Lavazza coffee machine which is a win!
"Don't bother"
Awful service was worst I ever came across. Refused entry to my son and his friend because he was 17 even though I put his age in
"MINOR IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED."
Negatives: Shower not powerful enough. Toilet roll holder loose and slanted. Poor gluten free alternatives. No scones or gluten free bread buns. Kitkats are in the room, but no gluten free biscuits. Slopey floor near the lift [ground floor]. Insect [small bug] in the bathroom. Two loose screws on the window frame. We arrived at 14:45pm hoping to get into the room 10 minuted early however, we were advised to await until a room was ready. It was almost 16:00 before we got the card [room key]. The manager, Leona offered a couple of men a free drink but didn't offer us a drink. Two tier standards. . Whenever we got the room card, the manager said sure it was only 45 minutes. Not very professional and no apology given. You are not paid enough to be a hero. If the area / regional manager reads this, you should invest in the people. People are crying out for jobs but the majority simply won't work for a minimum wage, slave labour wage. Pay your staff at least £16 ph. Positives: Lots of options for breakfast if you are not coeliac. Nutella spreadables are a good addition. Coffee maker, pods and a fridge in the rooms [premier plus]. Leanne is very bubbly and gave us both an alcoholic beverage that we like as we dislike beer.
"Awful"
Very disappointing nights stay at Premier Inn Alfred Street. On arrival we were informed that the restaurant was closed due to a hiccup, we asked for a second key card for our room and the member of staff couldn't remember her password to get it for us !!!. On arrival in our room there was a strong smell of damp, imagine a dirty wash cloth left sitting for a week and you'll get it. We went out then for our gig and on return to the hotel decided to have a drink at the bar, Carlsberg our first choice we were told was off because the keg was empty, second choice emptied as they pull the two pints, the beer we did receive was sour, we took it back to the bar where a very surly man told us to wait and went to get another member of staff. All in all the worst stay at a Premier Inn we have ever had, especially considering the £146 stg price. The one bright light was Sophie a lovely young lady who solved all issues with professionalism and a genuine smile. Thank you Sophie
"Nice hotel"
Standard premier inn hotel located about 10 minutes away from the main shopping area. Please be aware that the suggested parking can be full during weekdays so advise you to look for a plan B in advance just in case.
