Munich City Centre hotel

The hotel itself was very good: the beds were comfortable, the room was pleasant, and the location is excellent and very convenient for exploring central Munich. Unfortunately, our experience with the breakfast arrangements was disappointing. We had paid for breakfast for two people for both days of our stay, but when we went for breakfast the following morning, we were told at reception that there was no record of it. The blonde staff member at the entrance to the breakfast area would not let us in and asked to see our invoice, which left us waiting at the entrance while the issue was sorted out. Luckily, we had asked for a printed invoice when we checked in, so we were able to show proof that we had already paid and were eventually allowed in. Her manner also felt rather unfriendly and unwelcoming on both days. We also asked reception for a toothbrush and toothpaste but were told they could not provide them. It is a shame because the hotel itself was comfortable, very well located and otherwise a good choice. Better communication between reception and the breakfast staff, as well as a warmer approach to guests, would have made our stay much better.

Regularly stay in Premier Inns in England but first time in Germany. Quite shocked at the negatives - which didn’t represent the stay that we had. The rooms were as expected - yes was a little warm but this is common problem and not a major issue, bathroom was a higher standard and the hotel is in a great central location. Some of the ladies on Reception came across as a little abrupt but this could have been the language barrier. There was a lady who spoke great English and also the delightful Marco who was one of the highlights of our stay - so accommodating, friendly and helpful (even when very busy.) As well as being on reception, Marco also helped us with how the meal deal worked (again very patient and helpful as slightly different to what we were used to. Only a few options but we enjoyed them and if we had stayed longer would have probably gone outside the hotel. Another highlight was the breakfast - more continental options (to be expected) with so much choice, all fresh and very well presented. (With a lovely, friendly lady who helped me work one of the machines.) Had a great stay and would definitely go back.

Our stay here never happened. A security matter at home, involving police, forced us to shift our dates by one night. Three months ahead, we contacted the property through Booking and offered to rebook at a higher nightly rate. Refused. We asked instead to check in the second day. Ignored. All or nothing. The only option they gave us was to cancel the entire reservation and pay a 90% fee. We accept that we did book a non-refundable rate. But we were trying to keep paying them for a room, three months out and hoping they could work with us. The rooms may be fine. The service has no flexibility whatsoever.

Ac does not work, rooms are old and dirty. No customer service. Might as well stay in India, hot and stinky rooms. No hot water. They sell your room to multiple people and you have to deal With families coming in at all hours because their room is yours. Ridiculous. Took photo of the wonderful full 😂 AC.

Nice size room and bathroom, including desk with chair, black out curtains, club chair, kettle, coffee/tea. Cleaning is by request; it's the same if you just want new towels. The air conditioning worked very well, as did the shower (strong with hot water.) Breakfast isn't included and is pretty expensive, but you're not far from Sendlingerstrasse and several bakeries and restaurants. You're also close to the Sendlingertor underground station, which has a few places to eat underground. In the other direction is Karlsplatz station, with even more underground shopping/eating options. Especially useful if you're traveling out of the central area and want to grab something to eat on the way. That stretch of Sonnenstrasse can seem a bit sketchy; some homeless in some empty storefront doorways. And beware of the bike path that runs parallel to the sidewalk. I've never seen people riding so fast in such a busy area, including with electric bikes. We were in a courtyard room, so can't speak to noise level on the street side. Overall, the hotel itself is recommended.
