Heidelberg City Centre hotel

Excellent hotel for a short stay in Heidelberg. The check-in was fast and smooth, and the reception staff were friendly. The location is fantastic, with a parking garage directly across the street, making it very convenient to reach the old town on foot. The room was clean, modern, and very comfortable for sleeping. Breakfast was good and sufficient for a stay of one or two nights. The only downsides were the paid parking and the limited free parking nearby. Also, if you’re looking for scenic views, this hotel may not be the best choice. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

We arrived 2 hours early to our hotel and were allowed to check in free of charge because a room was available. LOCATION: This location seemed far from the touristy sights. We did walk it but on hot days it is exhausting. We should have used public transport more often. We were able to take a train from across the road to the entrance of the funicular to the castle (exit Rathaus/Bergbahn) That’s even a great stop to just get out and then do the tourist spots even if not going to the castle. GROCERY: Next door there is a great grocery store, and it has a nice cafe inside to sit and eat breakfast/coffee. BAGGAGE HOLD: There was free baggage hold for the day for our luggage after we checked out. Just ask at the front desk. ROOM: The room was nice. It was hard to get the temperature in the room cool enough. RESTAURANT: There is a restaurant right beside the front desk. We did not eat there.

Excellent location with bus and tram stops literally outside the door, plus a good Edeka supermarket next door. Room was OK. Good, standard German breakfast, and a somewhat limited evening menu. Staff all extremely pleasant and helpful.

Nice and by the looks newish hotel in Heidelberg. The premier rooms are of adequate size. The trams stops in front of the hotel which is convenient if you want to take public transportation to the old town.

Poor air conditioning that only blows out hot air so impossible to regulate temperature on warm days. Reported to management and all they had to say is that it is centrally managed and nothing they could do. If you are staying with children, your child will be provided with an armchair sofa bed which doesn't have proper padding for back support. Reported to management but no single beds provided for children. Shower cubicle had black mould in corners and dirt all around.
