"Great Stay"
Great stay at this hotel. Good location, just off the motorway and close to centre. Staff was really friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Restaurant next door was busy but good service. Food was good and at a good price. Would definitely stay again here.
"Not the expected Premier Inn quality"
Although the quality of the room was the normal Premier Inn satisfactory quality, other facilities were very poor. In particular, Wi-Fi in the hotel was non-existant despite the fact that I had paid an extra £5 for their 'Ultimate Wi-Fi'. The only way to get a signal was to walk out into the surrounding area and use my phone's data - it was as if the hotel had a bubble surrounding it to prevent Wi-Fi access. Also we had dinner in the adjacent Beefeater restaurant and were not impressed with the Chicken Dinner selected which was dry and tasteless. Unfortunately there appeared to be no other dining facilities in the local area. Our stay was only for one night but it is not somewhere we would want to return to.
"OK but very expensive"
Room ok but very expensive for what it is. There are much better value hotels in the area. Service was good except when initially checking in. No-one available fore about 5 mins after pressing the bell. Premier plus room is advertised as with ultimate wifi but this also was charged as an extra
"Stay was excellent and certainly worth a review"
Excellent stay. I was very impressed with the facilities in the room, the cleanliness in the room was excellent and I couldn’t make a single complaint. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food in the adjacent beefeater was first class in the evening and the lovely breakfast in the morning set us up for the day. I rarely write reviews especially if the experience was mediocre, but this stay inspired me to write because it couldn’t be faulted. Highly recommend
"A pleasant stay"
All in all I was very happy with the hotel. Great location, with a Beefeater (albeit slightly pricy) on site for convenience. Friendly staff, efficient parking registration and check in/out, bed was comfy and my room was spotlessly clean. Downsides were patchy wifi and a strong unpleasant smell in the downstairs corridor, but I’m sure they’re working to address it.
