"Nice hotel for a short stay in a great location"
Stayed for 2 nights. Room was adequate for our stay, clean and comfortable, bed and pillows very comfy. Only downside was air con wasn't very good and window only opened slightly and because of the very hot weather room was so hot for sleeping at night. Location was great for sightseeing. Restaurant food was good, breakfast ok but also there's a kfc and costa there and next to a retail outlet and garden centre. Great value for price paid. Would stay again.

"Good value hotel in great location"
Stayed 2 nights. Nice room, plenty of space for short stay and bed and pillows very comfy. Good wifi signal.Let down by the air con not being very good and room was very hot at night as hot weather. Small window only opened slightly so no air got in. Great location and plenty to do around the area. Breakfast was adequate and dinner was very good. Other places to eat on site too. Overall good value for price, would stay here again.

"Short staffed and breakfast wasn't the best"
A standard Premier Inn so you know what you are expecting. The issues I had were when I arrived well after check-in time I was a little intimated to arrive to the desk and three colleagues were talking to each other about matters not related to work. When I was finally seen to the lady said she'd need to check if my room was ready. I then noticed another elderly couple waiting for their room in the seating area. Is this really acceptable? Thankfully my room was ready, which is baffling since the mirror in the bathroom had smears and the bed was made with the bottom higher than the rest? Not ideal for someone with back pain. It was a hot day but no air con or fans available. The shower was terrible, it trickled water out and not very warm. I had to have a bath to warm up!
The following morning I booked in for breakfast at the Beefeater. This was where the main problems occurred. I only had the continental, and just as well since the queue for the hot food snaked round the restaurant. There only seemed to be one lady (the same one who checked me in and marched me to my table at great speed) who was running around like a headless chicken. The croissants were empty as was the orange juice. I had somewhere I needed to be so it wasn't ideal trying to find her and then wait for her to sort these.
Above all the hotel and restaurant need more staff. If this can't happen they shouldn't really take on the amount of customers they had at this time.

"Poor, low quality, poor maintenance"
Poor facilities, big maintenance issues, shower almost un-usable due to faulty hot and cold changing temperature, breakfast offers limited options, dinner is almost inedible.

"Hotel ok, Beefeater below average"
We stayed for one night, three rooms. The first receptionist was outside smoking so had a short wait for the remaining one to check us in. The rooms were fine, clean and tidy, and comfortable, had a good sleep which is a plus, the shower was slow to say the least and more a dribble than a shower.
We tried to go to the Beefeater for a drink at just before 5pm, as sign on the door said closed for staff training until 4pm, went back to reception to ask what time it was actually going to open, bye this time it was 510pm, 5pm she said, then looked at her watch and said it should be open. She went to check and to be fair came back and said they were running later abut opening now, only over an hour late according to their sign on the door!
We tried to eat there, told when we eventually managed to ask someone, the waitress had an art of managing to avoid eye contact, that we could only eat in the bar area, despite over half the tables being empty and continued to be for the rest of the evening.
We ordered, no draught beers as a problem with the cellar, and of course the bottle beer was now not in the fridge so that was lukewarm warm at best.
Slow food service, had the shredded beef which was the driest dish I have tried to eat and left most of it. Main faired better.
We had breakfast, again no one greeting, so eventually went looking for someone to be told there is someone doing meet and greet, I assured there was not, and was told well I do not know where she is! Sorry not my problem.
We were seated, the toaster took the best part of the entire breakfast to toast and had to keep checking for the hot food as different things ran out, the sausages were certainly cooked, black in fact!
Both waitresses spent most of the time moaning between themselves, especially about the staff at the Premier Inn, we heard it all.
Not the best stay and would not bother with the Beefeater again, but at least had a good sleep.
There are far better places around
