"Exceptional Staff and Outstanding Service Every Time"
We stay at the Premier Inn Trowbridge regularly for business purposes and can honestly say it is the best hotel you’ll find in the area. The location is excellent, surrounded by plenty of restaurants and pubs, with the town centre only a short 5-minute walk away, plus several supermarkets conveniently within walking distance. It makes every stay incredibly easy and convenient when travelling for work.
The housekeeping team do a great job with the rooms, they are always spotless, comfortable, and are very well stocked with tea, coffee and towels. However, the main reason we continue choosing this hotel time and time again is because of the outstanding team who work here.
The staff consistently go above and beyond to make every stay enjoyable. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and the level of care and friendliness they provide every visit is truly exceptional. We would like to give a VERY special thank you to team members Aggy, Jimmy, Sarah, Alex, Millie, Tess, Mick, Leicester, and Chef Eric. They are an absolutely fantastic team and a real credit to Premier Inn. Their warm welcomes, positive attitudes, and willingness to help genuinely make this hotel stand out from the rest.
We honestly wouldn’t keep returning if it wasn’t for the exceptional service these individuals provide. They create such a welcoming atmosphere and always make us feel valued and appreciated as guests. Thank you all once again for consistently making our stays such a pleasant experience!

"And adequate stay - don’t eat in the resturant"
Hotel is ok, we were checked in by a nice lady and the rooms are adequate, if a bit warm. The breakfast was standard with a decent range.
We went to the resturant tonight for dinner (24th May) and everything about the experience was dreadful.
On arrival at the resturant the two staff members took a while to notice us. Once they noticed we were waiting we were told there were no chips and the wait would be around 30mins for food as there was only one chef.
No alternative to chips were offered which given there majority of the meals come with chips this seemed strange.
We ordered our drinks which was a struggle with the staff - I understand one of them was quite new.
We tried to order our food, only to be told there was also no chicken curry. I then asked that the alternative to the chips was and the waitress shouted into the kitchen ‘are there any onion rings in the freezer’ and she then walked off. When she came back I asked what the alternatives were to chips and she said she was waiting to hear about onion rings. We asked if there was rice and the other waitress went to ask about rice and then came back and said there was lots of rice.
The other waitress then came back and said there were onion rings.
We ordered 5 starters and 5 main courses and then waited. Three of the starters arrived and nothing more was said.
The other two starters never arrived. Four meals were then served onto the pass and left there for some time.
The waitress brought these to our table, three of them were our main courses, which were now cold, and one was a main sized portion of one of the starters we had ordered. The waitress then argued with us that we had asked for it as a main. The children’s main meals remained missing. Eventually the two children’s meals were put on the pass and also left there. I went and found the waitress to ask for them to be served and she brought them over.
The meals were cold and the onion rings, cooked from the freezer tasted vaguely fishy.
The children had spotted ice lollies on the menu and asked to have them for pudding but when we tried to order them we were told they also had no ice lollies at all.
When we came to pay we asked if the childrens meals were free, as the sign said, and we were told that only included main meals.
When we enquired if the service had been acceptable and whether it was ok to charge for such terrible food and service we were told by the duty manger that she would be enforcing the charge and that we were being very rude. We asked if we could take the name of the manager so we could complain and she replied she was the manager. Needless to say we will not be eating in the premier inn again and will be suggesting no one else ever does either.

"Not a great experience, try to find somewhere else."
The problems started as soon as I entereed the building. Trying to find reception. After a couple of minutes I sa,w a fairly small sign on the wall saying reception is on the first floor. I decided to take the stairs, after going up 3 flights, around some corners, wondering if I'm going the right way, I found the reception desk.
I tried to check in at the desk, the staff tried to check me in but apparently the system was having issues and said I'd have to use the automated check in machines. After a hard day at work, I just wanted to get to my room. I'm no technophobe but I still needed the staffs assistance to complete check in.
In the room I was in, the right hand bedside lamp didn't work and the left one flickered so bad it was unusable. The room lighting is in urgent need of an upgrade. I couldn't even watch the TV without a reflection of a light in the screen.
The bathroom smelt so bad, like stagnant water. I wasn't sure if it was the sink or the toilet but it was not good and made me feel sick when washing my hands or bruhing my teeth. If i wasn't so tired, I would have complained and tried to get a different room.
The shower curtain seemed far too short and didn't use all the shower hooks on the the track. I had to keep checking I wasn't spraying the bathroom floor with water whilst in the shower.
The breakfast was not great. all the 'hot' items were luke warm at best. This suprosed me as I'd been asked what time I was going to be at breakfast. When getting a cup ot tea, there was not milk anywhere near the hot water / coffee machines, I managed to find some at the fresh fruit / cereal counter, there was no indication if this milk was skimmed, semi or full fat.
I have stayed ay many Premier Inns and the breakfast here was the worst I can remember, the fried eggs had solid yolks, the bacon was like cardboard, the hash browns were so dry and overcooked. Everything was just not nice. I wish I had saved my money and gong to Greggs round the corner......
Checking out wasn't as expected either, after getting the lift down to the ground floor, I then had to go back to the first floor for a key drop.
All in all, I don't think I would stay here again, I'd definitely try to find somewhere else locally. It feels like the hotel chain know they are the only one in the area and are just out to make money from a captive market.

"Trowbridge"
Check in unpleasant experience. Receptionist was unwelcome and unfriendly, made us feel awkward. She didn’t want to check us in on her computer tired to force us to check on the machine which we refused as we didn’t remembered booking details.
She made a bit of deal of this and whole experience was poor.
Room like sauna, air condition blow only warm air, didn’t work or was switched off to save electricity bill.
We paid for room we didn’t enjoyed and girl made us feel unwelcome.
Only positive thing was friendly and helpful Asian girl during breakfast. Won’t use this premier inn again.
Hotel is pretty dirty, unkept.
