"HORRENDOUS"
HORRENDOUS. We stayed a night during the hot spell this summer as a family of 4. Whilst the night time temperature dropped to c. 19 degrees outside the temperature in the room did not drop below 31.5. We have hardly slept a wink, melted and it has made my son sick. Reception people were lovely, found a remote control which was missing, finding an extension cable so that we could move one of the two fans closer to the window. Window is only allowed to open 4 inches so no night time air could come in. Reading up on their no sleep policy I doubt we will be able to claim any money back as they don't claim to have air con at this hotel so it's a loophole. More fool me for booking this hotel. Never again. It has completely ruined our weekend away..

"Overpriced, massively run down hotel"
A tired and run down hotel. Room was depressing, holes in the walls, trim missing from desk, bathroom stains. It was a standard of room i would expect from a £20 per night hotel, not £99

An older hotel thats badly needs updating, we knew this when booking (have been before). There is no air-con so be prepared, was very hot in the room
They try to help with a fan in the room and cold water in reception, the ice lolly waa a lovely treat.

Ex Ellen and freindly service from the start from Tia who greeted us warmly and was very freindly and helpful for first timers to the area her local knowledge was valuable . The first room we were given wasn't suitable for our needs so with no bother Tia happily changed us to a more suitable room with zero fuss or bother !! First rate stay ! The pub next door offered excellent choice for our evening meal and the breakfasts were brilliant quality !! Although there isn't much to do in the immediate area around the hotel, it is perfectly positioned to start your tour of the cotswolds! Simply turn right out of the hotel car park and within minutes your in the beautiful cotswold countryside with the first classic villages within 20 minutes of leaving the hotel !! We would definately recommend this hotel as a base for touring the cotswolds and all it has to offer !!
