Swindon Central hotel

Terrible stay. Rooms uncomfortably warm, fans provided but no way of getting any airflow through room. Unusually for PI mattress was very hard. Dinner on our second night was a joke, no staff, nobody could tell us how long we'd have to wait so we ended up paying for a taxi to go to another restaurant. Meal deal cost was refunded but was charged for breakfast next day which I thought should have been complimentary considering the cost and inconvenience the previous evening. Sent complaint to head office which was ignored until a bad review was left, then basically the reply I got was hard luck these things happen. Has put me off using PI again if this is the lack of customer respect and service I'll receive.

No air-conditioning ..two fans in the room one fan was useless... No staff on duty in the restaurant and bar ..so didn't get a evening meal or drinks in the bar ..the restaurant was an absolute shambles...

Awful stay. No air con (in the small print) rubbish fans, on my floor everyone had their doors open. Meal deal doesn't include loads of drinks, both nights ended up paying extra. The restaurant, Brewers fayre even worse. 1st night I didn't get my starter, 2nd night I didn't get my desert. Everyone from the hotel crammed in at front tables but I only saw the waitress twice throughout the whole meal.

The staff were very good and the room was lovely and clean. The room was too hot. There is no air conditioning in this hotel and the window only opened about 2 inches due to health & safety. They gave us two fans which only recirculated the hot air. It was very unpleasant overnight. The restaurant only had one chef on the Saturday night so they only had a limited menu. Breakfast the next morning was a nightmare as it was Father’s Day and they prioritised bookings from non residents. Restaurant staff were very pleasant and worked hard

Excellent stay. It was a very hot day and I was dubious about staying here as I knew there was no air con but the PI West was too far to travel and PI town centre is expensive to park so I thought I'd suck up the heat for a night. I have to say it was no-where near as bad as I'd anticipated, the windows had been opened so a nice breeze came through. It was hot overnight but bearable. Staff friendly. Room was actually much nicer again than anticipated, its an older hotel but the room looked recently done up and it was very clean. I would stay again.
