Salisbury South Milford hotel

I stayed for 2 nights with my 9 year old child. On night number 2 my daughter was unwell and we went to reception to ask for some cleaning items to clear up. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. They immediately found a spare room that we could move to, helped us move our belongings and insisted that I didn't need to clean up and they would deal with it. The staff were reassuring, kind and helped us feel safe. The hotel itself is next to a busy road and a large Tesco. The soundproofing is good so we weren't disturbed by any noise. There was enough car parking spaces, with the car park shared with a neighbouring McDonalds. We didn't eat at the hotel so can't comment on the food.

Bad hotel, staff not friendly at front decks. Needs a normal bar at this hotel with bar staff, and beer on a tap , cos you are in the middle of nowhere,

Hotel comfortable and all staff were very pleasant and helpful. Hotel seems to have refurbished fairly recently, with pleasant restaurant area. Would have given 5* except for problems with lack of catering supplies. Seven items from dinner menu were not available and only very limited hot breakfast food the next morning. In view of this we were not charged for the toast etc we had for breakfast, which we were satisfied with. However, it seems problems arose from lack of kitchen staff in part, but main reason was that the person responsible for ordering food etc had left and no-one recruited. Seemed poor management that no-one else was able to step in to do this essential task. Perhaps staff are very poorly paid. I felt sorry for the remaining staff who were trying hard to keep things going for the quests.

You know what to expect when you enter a Premier Inn hotel and this was no exception. The greeting was warm, the bedroom spotlessly Clean, bed comfortable and wide fit two people. Bathroom was excellent. Staff was particularly good under pressure at breakfast on the second of our three days stay. Always courteous and doing their absolute best. Could not fault it in any way perfect

I've used Premier Inns on previous occasions and found them modern, clean and comfortable. This time though left me disappointed. The ground floor room seemed very dark with little natural light. But the worst thing was the extremely off putting smell, a disgusting mix of damp and sweat. I don't know if it was my imagination but it made me itch. One of Premier Inn's selling points has been their comfortable mattresses but this one seemed hard. Is it my imagination or have they changed the design? Add to that the price was virtually double what I paid same the date last year and I'm mightily disappointed.
