Salisbury North Bishopdown hotel

We had a family room for one night. Noticed that essential furniture has been removed from rooms such as a bedside shelf and desk/dresser. The bathroom had an odd drains type smell coming from it so we had to keep the bathroom door shut. On our journey to the hotel we tried to book a table in the onsite restaurant. The phone is handles by an AI assistant so we couldn't book. Online information indicates that you can't book and just turn up. We did this at 7pm only to be told there were no tables until 9pm. Even the server said that she didn't know why it says online you can't book a table, when clearly you can as she had a lost of bookings in front of her. Had to get back in the car and eat elsewhere. The onsite restaurant was very small. The new model of closing neighbouring Beefeaters seems flawed - you can't easily book a table and the onsite restaurant is tiny, There is no chance of serving 130+ rooms. On a par with Travelodge at best. Don't forget to register your car.

The only reason I am giving a five-star review is because of the exceptional service provided by the only two members of staff I encountered during my stay. On arrival, the receptionist, Mini, was extremely professional, helpful, and welcoming. She maintained a pleasant manner throughout, despite clearly having far too much to manage on her own. Later, during the evening meal, I met the chef, William, who noticed that I had been waiting for some time to be seated. He immediately stepped in to help and could not have been more professional, attentive, or accommodating. He is a genuinely lovely person who went out of his way to ensure I was looked after. These two individuals are a real credit to the Premier brand. As someone who works for a five-star luxury hotel in Cornwall, I can confidently say they would be an asset to any organisation. I felt particularly sorry for Mini, who was clearly overloaded and left to manage the reception without any support. Although she never allowed this to affect the high standard of service she provided, she should never have been placed in that position, especially by a company such as Premier. The standard of the food was excellent and having had the mixed grill, I would highly recommend it; well done chef!

Parking...be wary The staff dont tell you about registering a vehicle. The car park is run by a 3rd party company who then try and scam, you out of £100. When you call Premier Inn to get it cancelled, they deny all knowledge you were ever there....Bunch of sharks.

Lovely large room, very clean, with a very clean bathroom. Extremely comfortable bed. However the pillows were very hard. I would have liked an option in the room of a soft pillow, since this would help with sleep.

Good location for visiting Salisbury We had a premier room which along with a few other perks had a fridge a bonus in the very hot weather. Staff excellent no complaints there.
