"Shambolic Breakfast Offering"
We have previously used this hotel for an overnight stay before heading to Southampton’s cruise terminals and it has been just fine. Until this time. The adjacent pub has closed down which gives the whole site a run down atmosphere. This has also resulted in the addition of an in-house restaurant (The Social) which I can only describe as utterly shambolic. It is way too small for the size of the hotel so it was massively crowded with queues at all food & drink stations with dirty dishes piled high on every available surface. There was one poor guy who was trying his best to make things work but got zero help from other staff members (management?) who made no effort too improve the chaos.
If staying here! I would recommend going room only and swerving the restaurant altogether. We ate dinner at Thw Duck Inn nearby (very good) and ended up buying breakfast at a cafe later. All in all a very disappointing experience, probably our last.

"Fulfilled the Lenny Henry promise"
A good example of a typical Premier Inn. No unpleasant surprises. Good location, quiet and on the edge of Salisbury. Good air con, operated quietly and efficiently. Small, hard working team, polite and efficient. Restaurant does a job; feeds you with a modest selection for dinner, fresh but not a gourmet experience. Breakfast is good and plentiful. Good sized room, well equipped and exactly what Lenny Henry promised!

Absolute shambles, some staff couldn’t speak English. Encouraged to book meal deal on evening of stay. On arrival at restaurant we were told that they had no chips, and as most meals came with chips was just a nightmare. I wanted fish & chips and member of staff said you can have it with rice or salad. According to the only member of staff that understood English they had ran out of chips the day previous. So why were we encouraged to have an evening meal without knowing this. On the plus side room was nice but had to ask for another towel. Please avoid! !

"Not Good."
We always book premier + rooms. They are generally good. We arrived at this hotel after a long drive so I took a shower. The water did not drain away and it flooded the floor. I thought I had better let them know and ask to be moved. I was told that I could not be moved as there were no + rooms available they only had the standard ground floor rooms. I asked for a refund intending to find another hotel and was spoken to as though I were a child and told dismissively that they do not give refunds take it or leave it.. I saw no point in continuing the conversation went back to the room. I could not find availability elsewhere and after inspecting the trap found that it was completely blocked. It was a disgusting job but I managed to clean it out and solved the problem. I went on line and found that there was availability in the + rooms at the hotel.

"Think this may be the last time I stay at this Premier inn"
Found dirty toilet in room, reported to reception Saturday morning. Returned to room Saturday evening and found NOBODY had bothered to come and check the toilet so still dirty. We checked in as a couple and found towels for only ONE person and the "unlimited " breakfast was very limited indeed on Sunday morning - I ended up with only coffee and toast, due to a lack of food on the cooked breakfast window, and empty cereal container on the "continental" table - It was 09:00 Sunday morning NOT 10:30. I use this Premier inn often, I fear I will be looking elsewhere on future visits to Salisbury when I visit my family who live in the area
