Chippenham hotel

Stayed for a family event, great location and easy to get too. Outstanding service from the HM (tony) and Alisha. They were very professional and answered any questions i had. Quick and efficient, nothing seemed too much trouble, overall they are both a credit to premier inn and i hope my gratitude reaches both of them 🤗🤗

With limited options in Chippenham i boked the Premier Inn, which is a £10 taxi ride from the railway station. Checkin was easy as its self service. my room was on the ground floor. Usually Premier Inns are of a average standard, this was was on the lower scale. It was showing a lot of wear and tear, room was clean, but areas where attention to detail lacked, mould behind the taps, shower head needs a good clean and mould on the walls and window which the double glazing panel had blown. The aircon was useless, hence it was so hot but noisy if you opened the window. The food option is the pub across the carpark with the usual food option and the same place for breakfast. My sleep was average and im glad i was only staying for one night, it looks to a favourite with trades people staying. Nothing around to do so once you arrive unless you want to pay £10 each way to the town centre.

If you have a premier plus room it will exceed your expectations, A/C, decent WiFi and nice coffee. If however you get a standard room the bed and bathroom are OK but the rest of the room is tired. The window opens a couple of inches and during hot weather the rooms on the top floor are indicating 30°C on the temperature guage on the wall and don't drop by much overnight. The staff are friendly and helpful and can provide additional fans etc on request. However, it then just feels like you are sleeping in an air fryer.

Budget accomodation Room was basic and bathroom not clean.. We had the food included package and all meals were excellent with good friendly service..
