Pontefract North hotel

Room nice and clean, bed comfortable shower great. But there was no hot water for the sink to have a wash and shave. So it spoilt in the morning.

Lively nights sleep in a comfy bed, clean room & quite. Good English breakfast with nice polite staff. Helped me with my electric car needs. Thankyou. Ian from Bristol/ UK

Terrible restaurant with very mediocre food both in the evening and at breakfast the room and the bathroom looked worn and dated. Avoid!

Avoid at all costs unless you want to be put at a health risk. The room was (see pics) the worst i ave ever seen, mould around the windows, that had worked its way up the voiles and then the bathroom, it was shocking with thick black mould, faulty fittings for the shower and the grime and filth was absolutely dreadful. Missing bulb in bedside light also, is there an excuse for that? Went to find someone and noone on reception & was late so waited until next morning and spoke to a lady on reception who offered me a free breakfast. I for one declined as i do not eat breakfast but my biggest fear was if the rooms and bathroom facilites are this bad i dread to think how the kitchens must be. I then also was advised to complain to head office which i did, they have since come back to offer a paltry £24 refund!!. So this is the value of someones health they seem to think and i think differently. Their pathetic argument was that i did not tell anyone that evening of arrival, how could i when i tried but noone on duty although i told the lady the next morning that i tried to locate someone so i have all bases covered and head office are trying to wriggle out of admission. Anyway you can all see for yourselves how it was and does anyone believe this is worth a £24 refund??

I had a very pleasant stay overall. The hotel was clean, comfortable, and well organised, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. The reception team were especially impressive — professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They assisted me with directions and ensured my room allocation was handled efficiently. Their willingness to go the extra mile really stood out and made a positive difference to my stay. I would definitely return and recommend it to others.
