"Fantastic service"
Tracey & Lindsey looked after us royally. Nothing was too much trouble. They did everything with a good heart and a smile. I especially appreciated having my room location changed for me (without me asking) as I was checking in, to provide me with a more accessible room. The hotel was very clean, and the service we got couldn’t have been better.

"The worst Premier Inn we have stayed at!! Premier Inns in the city centre are 5 star compared to this one"
Room smelt really bad when we opened the door into! Windows wide open so tells a story! Receptionist really helpful and found us another room which we were very grateful for, restaurant was shut so no food available and upon returning from a gig in the city to be told the bar was shut!!?
Cleanliness is not to the normal standard of a Premier inn , the carpets on the stairways were disgustingly dirty.
I will not return to this hotel.

Check-in took a bizarrely long amount of time. The guy at the desk asked for my first name (why not surname? ), took him 2 different tries to guess my surname, which would have been fine but each time he presumably had to locate and then open the guest information screen causing delay. The hotel was pretty gross, the carpet on the hallway up to the room was dirty. The room itself was OK, but there were no towels in the room. Asked at reception for a towel, there were some clean towels in a clear package. All the same size, you could tell by the way they were folded that it was a stack of the same towels (this is useful information for the next part of the story). The guy handled the clean towel, and this is not a joke, for at least a minute, turning it over in his hands. I guess to see if it was 2 towels in one (it wasnt). he then did the exact same thing for the next towel, despite them obviously being part of a stack of the same size towels, inspecting it and rolling it between his hands. It was just unneccessary. A stranger handing you a towel that they have touched every part of the surface of is a strange feeling. It's never happened to me before & I nearly rejected it but was so taken aback by the horror show I'd just witnessed I didnt have the fortitude, the whole experience was bizarre.
Hotels are about hospitality. Make your guests feel welcomed. This experience was just wierd from start to finish. I'm not a negative person, I very rarely complain but for the price of this and the way that guy manhandled my towels I actually feel... violated. I hope someone reads this and takes steps to improve basically 90% of the SOP's that occur in that hotel. Too much friction at checkin with that name process, the cleanliness of the place, the towel experience. please take action. Oh, also there was black mould on the wall/ceiling junction of the bathroom, icing on the cake
