Leeds City Centre (Wellington Street) hotel

I just wanted to give a special mention to Andy Pandy at the Leeds Premier Inn, who was absolutely fantastic. When I asked if it was possible to have a ground-floor room, Andy was incredibly helpful and accommodating. From the moment I arrived, he was friendly, welcoming and genuinely lovely to deal with. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and he went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. It’s staff like Andy who really make a difference to a stay. His warmth, helpfulness and great attitude were very much appreciated. Thank you, Andy Pandy — you’re a credit to Premier Inn! 😊

I've stayed at a number of Premier Inns across the country, both in the north and south. I found this hotel to be very poor value for what you actually get, especially when you compare the quality to the ones that are in London in busier locations. I spent £100 for a double room (non-flexible) + breakfast for one night in the middle of the week, but that appeared to be on the cheaper end. For some positives, the location in Leeds is very good. It's only a 10-15 minute walk into the city centre from there and the hotel is located with easy access, and the parking (£9 for 24 hours) is very reasonable if you want to explore the city. The staff seemed friendly through the small interactions I had with them, and I felt as though the check-in/out process in general was very straight forward (do note that if you check in through a kiosk and you parked up, you need to ask a team member for a discounted parking code). The breakfast area was small but had good options regardless, including for people who may not eat meat. However, the room itself was quite disappointing. It's clear that the hotel is very dated, and while the room was quite large for what I paid for, it didn't feel particularly clean and had a musty and damp smell. The towels weren't clean either, or rather the floor towel wasn't. The basic Wi-Fi was very slow (which is standard for Premier Inn admittedly) and I ended up just using my mobile data instead. To make matters worse, I had a room assigned to the side of the hotel pointed towards the main road. If you have a room on this side, be aware that the soundproofing is very, very poor. I wasn't really able to sleep at all because every few moments you would hear cars rushing past. For me, the most important thing about staying in a hotel is a clean room with soundproofing to allow you to sleep comfortably, and I don't think the hotel had either. Of course, my experience is just one experience and your mileage may vary, but I didn't have a good experience and would highly recommend some earplugs if you want to try your luck with what felt to be a dated and unclean hotel.

Very friendly, Clean,Was more than my expectations. The beds was very comfortable. Bathroom very clean had the warm water. Tv was working perfect. And the breakfast was amazing

hotel is overpriced, in terrible condition, bathroom falling apart, its dark, dirty and walls are paper thin. I have stayed in other Premier Inn properties that are fine - this is not one of them. To be avoided 5

The smell of mold in the hallway put us off from the start and then entering the room it got worse. We had to keep the bathroom door closed. Breakfast was slow and undercooked and the tables were sticky. There's were comfortable and the room was tidy. I was reminded multiple times at check in that he didn't like taking cash which left me feel extremely embarrassed as it could be heard by other guests waiting in line. I have stayed at multiple locations but unfortunately I won't be returning to this one. Far too smelly!!
