Huddersfield Central hotel

The experience was brilliant, made excellent by Jordan and the team as we celebrated our son’s graduation in Huddersfield. Although the evening meal was a basic offering, we enjoyed the convenience of dining there the night before the graduation. Breakfast was cooked fresh and served by great staff who made sure we had what we needed and how the restaurant worked. The graduation acknowledgment and chocolate treats were a lovely surprise - Thank you, our stay in Huddersfield was truly amazing!!

Room fine and staff doing their best. Unbelievably booked in for three nights on meal deal booked by clients! When down to eat and choice between curry and pizza! Supposedly they will have fish tomorrow. Has this really deteriorated so far in less than a year since I was here! No wonder it’s empty! If visiting plan to eat out! Really disappointed!

Friendly staff, with special mention to the breakfast team, Phyl, Mario and the newer members of the team. overall all the staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms ae clean and beds comfortable. only slight blip is the evening menu, it is greatly reduced compared to other Premier Inns. Ian McW

We must have just been unlucky this holiday as we have always found Premier Inns spotless and modern but after a very very disappointing stay in a Premier at Carlisle we moved to this one near the centre of Huddersfield.. I booked a room with a view .. we viewed a main road which was extremely busy and noisy and a canal containing some aged boats .. The room was also aged with a blind that had seen better days and the bathroom needed a repaint .. The restaurant was only open at specific meal times so a drink or meal out of these hours was impossible.. However, the only good point were the staff who were helpful and friendly .. Premier Inn need to look at some of their hotels .. I have been so disappointed recently .

Jess on reception and in the bar- lovely welcome, so helpful and genuine. Lovely Shoaib in the bar and restaurant so lovely and attentive. He desperately tried to assist an American family with food choices and suggestions where the woman had gluten and dairy allergies. To be fair to him, he did everything in his power to assist, but the menu is severely limited. He gave the allergy sheet but it really didn't help much, as there was nothing suitable. The poor lady was talking to him politely but expected more knowledge, I think ( he's not a nutritionist!). He dealt with her perfectly and didn't skip a beat dealing attentively to everyone else. Philomena at breakfast - what a fabulous, cheerful, beautiful lady. To be greeted with such warmth, humour, cheerfulness is a fabulous start to the day. Special mention to the chef, Mario at breakfast who presented a perfect veggie breakfast - PERFECT poached eggs, too served with a huge smile! I left the veggie sausages as they taste a bit chemical- not his fault, there are some lovely ones available. My room was spotless - even the mirrors - so shout out to Sarah from housekeeping who'd prepared it. Honestly the staff here go above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome, it makes such a huge difference and is appreciated. My only criticism is the menu - severely limited, v. little for allergies & vegan. Small portions, no healthy choices. A baked potato & a couple of salad choices , vegan curry - dhaal/ chilli would have been great. Breakfast is fabulous though!
