Halifax Town Centre hotel

The room and bed were comfortable but the breakfast was poor. The buffet had limited choice and looked tired, the fruit compotes did not look fresh and so I avoided. The most disappointing aspect was that the waitress said that the coffee machine had been broken for months and they were not being given a replacement but I was told that I could use the coffee sachets like those found in the room, which I really only drink if desperate! I did have scrambled egg, mushrooms and grilled tomato which were fine. But the toaster could do with an empty and clean along with the cutlery. It wasn’t worth £11.99.

I have stayed in Premier Inn hotels regularly over the years. This one was much the same, polite and informative staff, clean rooms with comfy beds and good security throughout. The only negative experience was the breakfast. My wife chose the Continental option which turned out to be a big mistake. No fruit, no pancakes, no coffee machine. No side plates. The table was bare. No sign of any waiting staff for several minutes. My wife had to ask for literally everything she wanted to eat. The one highlight was my breakfast, which lived up to the standard I expect at Premiere Inn. That said the location is excellent and everything other than the breakfast was very good.

This was my first time taking my daughter to a hotel and unfortunately, it was my worst experience at a premier inn. We were greeted warmly, and staff were kind and polite throughout. However, the facilities in our room and at breakfast spoiled our stay. The main light was not working in our room, the extractor fan and heating were extremely noisy, and there was so much noise coming through the window that it sounded as though the window was still open. We were so tired from travelling that thankfully my young daughter was able to sleep through it, so i did not want to move us to a different room in the middle of her bedtime. But I found it very difficult to sleep, even wearing earplugs and putting a podcast on to distract from the sirens and drunken revellers outside. There was such a long wait at breakfast, i worried that we’d miss the booking that we had to visit the science museum. A disappointing stay.

Brilliant location if a little noisy at times! Room as expected although they certainly can't get much more basic! Restaurant practically empty, pumps not working for beer etc, coffee machine not working, staff absolutely run ragged especially in the mornings, 1 person on his own trying to do everything was absolutely ridiculous, really felt sorry for him. Come on owners, You've closed down a big chunk of your business for goodness sake sort out the Inns before customers walk away!!

Fast going down hill. Was shocked thst from Thursday evening there was no milk cartons available for rooms. By saturday night hardly any sugar. Chap on reception said they had no milk. Honestly that is not good enough. I bought Milk but lasted in cold water just 1 day. If Premier Inn are not providing Milk then there should be a fridge in every bedroom.
