Halifax South hotel

Poor standard of Premier Inn. We stayed for one night and as there was a gig in Halifax the price was higher than usual. Our room was on the ground floor accessible directly from outside with scaffolding all round the entrance. The room was dark and small, the bed was also small and bed and bedding uncomfortable. The bathroom had been renovated so shower was good but no attention had been paid to rotting and aged woodwork. Overall very disappointing particularly compared with other premier inns

Fantastic location staff friendly and welcoming

This is a lovely hotel on the canal side well situated for visiting different places & very reasonably priced. The hotel is quite small which suited us & our room was at the front so we had a nice view. The room was very clean & the reception staff very helpful & friendly. We had some evening meals at the nearby Brewer's Fayre pub & the food was very good. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

It’s a very typical Premier Inn. Nice location down by the canal. Not cheap at £90 a night. No fuss. Good sleep. Good powerful shower, but it leaked over the bathroom floor. It’s a decent, if expensive, 3* hotel.

Located in a quiet spot by a canal and across the road from a Shell petrol station this hotel fitted the bill for a one night stay. I was pleasantly greeted at reception and my room had tea/coffee facilities a comfortable bed, a small desk for working, good heating and a nice outlook over the canal. The bathroom had only a shower. Everything was clean and as it should be. The free wifi was poor and ran at a glacial speed. This now seems to be a feature at Premier Inn hotels. I ate at the nearby Brewers Fayre restaurant - reasonable pricing and reasonable service - although it took a long time to find anybody behind the bar on a Sunday evening to take my order. The food tasted good though. Overall this hotel is fine but not exceptional.
