"Great!"
This is a lovely hotel on the canal side well situated for visiting different places & very reasonably priced. The hotel is quite small which suited us & our room was at the front so we had a nice view. The room was very clean & the reception staff very helpful & friendly. We had some evening meals at the nearby Brewer's Fayre pub & the food was very good. Would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

"Typical premier Inn. Expensive."
It’s a very typical Premier Inn. Nice location down by the canal. Not cheap at £90 a night. No fuss. Good sleep. Good powerful shower, but it leaked over the bathroom floor. It’s a decent, if expensive, 3* hotel.

"As expected. Isolated location but fine for a one night stay."
Located in a quiet spot by a canal and across the road from a Shell petrol station this hotel fitted the bill for a one night stay. I was pleasantly greeted at reception and my room had tea/coffee facilities a comfortable bed, a small desk for working, good heating and a nice outlook over the canal. The bathroom had only a shower. Everything was clean and as it should be. The free wifi was poor and ran at a glacial speed. This now seems to be a feature at Premier Inn hotels. I ate at the nearby Brewers Fayre restaurant - reasonable pricing and reasonable service - although it took a long time to find anybody behind the bar on a Sunday evening to take my order. The food tasted good though. Overall this hotel is fine but not exceptional.

"Review of Premier Inn & Brewers Fayre"
I stayed at this Premier Inn, arriving on Sunday 29/03/26 at 21:10. Check in was smooth, and I headed straight to the on site Brewers Fayre for dinner. The food and service that evening were actually very good, and it left a positive first impression.
Unfortunately, things went downhill from there.
The breakfast experience was extremely disappointing. Although it is advertised as a buffet breakfast, this was not the case. Instead, you had to find a manager on the floor just to place an order. This meant waiting around just to be acknowledged, followed by an additional wait of around 20 minutes for the food to arrive.
When the breakfast finally came, the portions were surprisingly small. If you wanted more food, you had to repeat the entire process find the manager again, place another order, and wait all over again. This system is completely impractical, especially for guests staying for business who need a quick and efficient start to their day. This issue occurred every morning of my stay.
On 31/03/26 at around 21:00, I went to the restaurant for dinner, only to be told the kitchen was already closed and the chefs had gone home. This was confusing, as I had been served dinner after 21:00 just a couple of days earlier. When I questioned this inconsistency, the manager simply said he didn’t know. When I asked where I was supposed to eat, I was told, “I can’t help you.”
Overall, this is by far the worst Premier Inn I have stayed in. The service was poor, inconsistent, and unhelpful. The breakfast setup in particular felt unnecessarily restrictive and stingy.
Very disappointing experience.

"Lovely stay, heater too noisy so didn't sleep well"
Great stay and super cosy, clean room.
A little cold in the room so we had put the heating on low during the night to keep warm. The bed was very cosy and the shower was great, very warm water and good pressure.
Unfortunately, we hardly slept due to the noise from the heater in the room that made loud noises all night.
