"There are other hotels much preferable to this, especially if you are disabled."
Went to stay at Bingley for sons wedding. I am disabled with severe mobility issues. Booked a wetroom. On arrival music blasting out from the pub on outside speakers, Loud music inside reception that I couldnt hear what they were saying. Room was as far away as you could get which meant a very very long walk on crutches and having to keep stopping. This caused my injury to flare up badly and meant I could barely walk. Room had no air conditioning and was constant 30 even with fans supplied. Windows only open 2 inches. No electric sockets by the bed. TV dirty. Wetroom had mould. Pillows stained. Bed very uncomfortable. Staff at the time tried to be helpful, no issue with them. Restaurant only one staff, tables dirty, not cleaned from night before, pots not cleared, bread stale, out of date Weetabix, What kind of idiots put disabled rooms a huge long walk away from Reception? Music noise (NOT background ) is loud and annoying in pub and hotel. Hopeless for anyone with autism or is neurodivergent. Needs a massive upgrade, and much more consideration given to disabled guests of which there are nowadays a lot. Why should we be treated as second class citizens because we are old and disabled. Just one tiny step up from Britannia & Travelodge these days. Don't bother at the prices they charge. Better options are around. Having said that, we stayed at Thirsk which was a much better and comfortable stay although the restaurant furniture needed replacing. If they want to stay in business in these difficult times they need to pull their socks up or they will just go the way of the rest. They are already trying to automate hotels so they don't need to pay staff. BIG MISTAKE. Good and loyal staff are what make a hotel. Oh and if you need help, you're stuffed. Particularly if you don't have a phone. you can't find a number for the hotel, there is no phone in the room to be able to contact Reception. So supposed to walk half a mile of corridor to go and complain every half hour!! Don't think so. Get your act together Premier Inns.
If you don't care about value for money, or a good and enjoyable stay then I expect its fine. I have better standards I'm afraid.
