Haywards Heath hotel

Good location, calm atmosphere and staff were all lovely and helpful. Bed is comfortable. Carpet needs proper cleaning especially on the sides. Bathroom is okay except that grout is covered black in some areas of the shower. The negative comments here can be easily improved. Overall would recommend.

Service, cleaningness and overall experience very poor. Our room wasn't properly clean to begin with and there was only one set of towels for the two of us; a second set was brought when we asked for it. On the second day we asked for the room to be cleaned and - while it was obvious that someone had come in - the room was still dirty, bed unmade, crumbles on the carpet and bathroom untouched.. we found a clean set of towels though (again only one). Breakfast was barely decent. Not a good value for our money. The only pro is that it's close to the train station. We won't return and wouldn't recommend.

The hotel is handy for the station and nearby shopping. The staff were very welcoming and atmosphere was very friendly and quiet. All rooms were clean and tidy. My room was very comfortable. The bed as always was very comfortable.

Bland, Dull, but a good location for the railway station and town centre. Unfortunately for me this brand and its model of operation does not suit me. I stayed 7 nights and everyday you have to tell reception if you want your room cleaned / towels changed, etc. This more than often was late in the day, or into the evening. So if you can imagine it the carpets do not always get a good clean. Its not a daily event and when it is they use a robot cleaner. The rooms are pretty standard but don't want to hear you say you get what you pay for ( £731 for 7 nights is not cheap - the daily rates vary from £78 per night to £172 on a Saturday for the same room ). Operation of the hot water at the sink was somewhat of a knack. As was the card reader in the room. In the week I was staying the lift has been ( and is ) still ' out of service ' meaning the stairs being well used - in that week these stairs were never cleaned - this should have been easy to see by any staff member especially Management. So my overall impression of this particular Premier Inn is very poor - the management need to up their game. I will not be staying here again. ps. regarding the lack of lift - the staff did prewarn customers of an issue - but a week of no progress is very poor.
