"Dispiriting experience"
This was a dispiriting experience although staff were very friendly. The corridors are gloomy - Premier Inn could do with rethinking their internal decor. The room was ok but had an extremely noisy extractor fan that couldn't be switched off. Breakfast lacked oats or muesli and the toaster was very slow. Coffee from machine was insipid. Price was high because of Goodwood.
"Very disappointing visit"
The evening meal was a microwaved overcooked disgrace. A hammer anD chisel would have helped get into the "Steak and Ale" Pie. When I did eventually manage to break into it, it contained about a small dessert spoon of meat. The accompanying gravy was like glue. My wife's scampi was overcooked also and her mushy peas were solid. Without any warning, the bar closed at 10.00pm ...... unheard of!!! The toilets, both ladies and gents, were dirty and stank of pee. I should have asked for a refund, but, I am not confrontational. I'll be hard pressed to use Premier Inns again.
"Perfect"
Great stay all around Great beds Clean bathrooom Friendly service at desk on arrival and when returning late at night. Bedroom was silent and room was cool to sleep in. Air con worked great Breakfast was explained perfectly and was fresh and tasty! Check out was the easiest thing ever!
"Disappointing"
This is our 2nd visit to this hotel. We arrived at 4:30pm on Wednesday 21st May only to discover that the lift wasn't working & customers had already been moved to the ground floor because of it. I'm disabled so as you can imagine this was a nightmare for me - I had booked a Premier Plus room & all those rooms are on the 2nd floor.......why is that?!?! I struggled that evening & unfortunately didn't have a great night because of the pain in my legs having to use the stairs several times. The lift was eventually fixed the next morning but only when we were checking out - I still had to struggle to come down for breakfast the next morning. There was terrible delays at breakfast due to short staffing. There was only one woman having to manage reception & serve customers in the dining area. A member of staff arrived from another branch but I didn't see him but in the end a member of management came to assist. It took far too long for help to arrive which was so unfair on the poor woman who did her ultimate best but it was too much for her to manage on her own. The food was lovely as usual but the delays ruined my experience. We are returning to Chichester in July but we will be looking for alternative accommodation. I paid far too much on this visit & was very unhappy going home yesterday which is a pity.
"A poor excuse for breakfast at Chichester Premier Inn."
We are used to a good standard at Premier Inns, this hotel was the exception. The lift was out of order for the day and night of our stay. The rooms could do with a freshen up, ours looked tired. We usually enjoy a good breakfast, I have full english and my wife continental. In the full english the quality of the bacon, sausages had deteriorated in that they are obviously lower quality. The berry fruit salad was empty - they ran out by 8 am and the other fruit salad was much depleted and majored in apple. The continental consisted of 1 crumpet, brown and white bread, and a small inferior quality muffin - no pan de raisin, no pan de chocolate, no croissant, no danish pastry or any other pastry. Eventually they replenished the small yogurt pots. The coffee was weak and frankly awful. If this is a reflection of Premier Inns going forward especially as they are bringing catering in house and disposing of the Harvesters etc I will not be revisiting Premier Inn, particularly as when challenged on the continental breakfast, where we were charged full price for such a mean offering, the only response was a shrug of the shoulders. Give this hotel a miss if you take my advice!
