Arundel hotel

I used to really like Premier Inns as they seemed a cut above the other budget hotels. Arundel was no exception when we stayed a few years ago. On our recent visit, we still had a comfortable night and the staff (in the hotel and at breakfast) were lovely. Sadly, the hotel looked in need of re-decoration. The exterior looked scruffy and the bathroom looked as though it should have been decorated at least 2 years ago. This isn’t the first Premier Inn where I’ve witnessed a lack of ongoing investment and, given the price increases over the past few years, this is disappointing. It makes me wonder if Whitbread are struggling to make the chain financially viable.

Me and my partner decided to go away for the weekend something to do so we came here, we checked in and soon as we walked into our room it smelt of cigarettes and you opened the bathroom door it smelt like sewage. Granted we went down to complain they gave us another room and the window did not close properly so heating was up all night or we would of been cold and the amount of thick dust all down the walls by the side of the bead was disgusting really. We then went for breakfast and to be honest wasn't great we walked in and the entrance smelt also of a sewage like smell then we sat down and ordered our food so whilst waiting for egg and bacon and beans for like 30 minutes we grabbed a coffee but milk was like gold dust and so was bread or croissants you asked staff you would get a huff or eyes rolled back so you felt awkward to ask. Then went back to the room after having a cold breakfast whilst getting ready we still had an hour left before checking out and we had the do not disturb sign on the door handle out side so I am waiting for my partner whilst she's in the shower and the maid walks in whilst im in the nude I just it thought was very unprofessional.

The entire facility is disgustingly and should be immediately thoroughly investigated by Health and Safety and immediately shut down. Outer walls dirty grey and mouldy . Carpets and decor unwelcoming sticky and fit for the rubbish tip. Room only just ok but in need of complete refurbishment . Breakfast served in separate building via walk through car park in wet and windy conditions. Dining facility disgraceful . Sticky dirty carpets , damp dirty walls with evidence of very poor repair . Seating disgusting and in desperate need of refurbishment. On arrival met by guy who checked us in dressed in tatty t-shirt jeans and dirty trainers. Same guy took our order and brought the food to us . Bacon and sausage undercooked . Toaster only half working. Orange juice cheap and nasty. Ate because we were hungry and paid extra for . We have stayed at other Premier Inns before which were good but this one at Arundel is not in any way fit for the purpose and a complete con . Health and Safety should be called in and this entire facility be immediately shut down. It is indeed not fit for the purpose. A complete disgrace and we should get a full refund.

Stayed here for valentines weekend fab hotel ,very clean and comfy staff couldnt do enough . Location lovely beautiful highly recommend x

Came here for a week again to catch up with friends and celebrate my friends birthday. Everything went well couple of nights keep hearing people outside my window early hours (or noises) which woke me up and tried to keep go back to sleep. Couple of times I changed the towels from reception. I would recommend this premier inn hotel.Also I recommend having the meal deals on the on-site beefeater unless you’re going out to other restaurants in town. But you can’t adjust the dates when you want the meal deals but I managed to adjust when you arrive at reception and select flex and pay on arrival when you book online.
