"Best premier inn so far"
Very friendly and helpful staff. My meal was delicious including my ice cream Sunday. The best one I have ever had just perfect on a hot day. My room was cool as the fan had been turned on in advance of me checking in. The new restaurant/bar area was so much nicer than having to go to a pub Nextdoor. Definitely one I will visit again.

"Great Staff, Not Built for Modern British Summers"
I want to start of with the positives of our stay at this location. The amenities in the room were good, like the bathroom and shower, television, and comfortable bed. I am also appreciative of the fan being provided since it was very warm and there was no air conditioning. Breakfast was very delicious, and all the staff we interacted with were wonderful and very welcoming and friendly. Since the building is a bit removed from the main road too, it was very quiet even with the window open all night
However, it was unfortunately overshadowed by the drawbacks. The room was very dusty. The shelving to the right of the door as we went in had a few surfaces that were dusty, and clearly hadn't been dusted in a number of weeks. Similarly, the lights by the bed were covered in dust on the side facing the wall, which is very visible when lying in bed.
The building was unbearably hot, and it made it so that myself or my partner hardly got any sleep. The fan provided did help, but since the cable was screwed to the table it was on, we couldn't move it closer without moving the whole table, and it only blew the same stale air at us anyway. The safety locks on the windows also mean that the didn't open enough to let any cool air in. This was demonstrated by the fact that it was 30C in the room when we went to sleep, and 29.5C when we woke up, despite the window being open all night and it getting to around 11-12C outside.
I also feel that since the building itself is designed to keep heat in, the whole building retained warmth so any air that was getting in was just being heated the second it came in. I would like to see Premier Inn combat this by having more doors open throughout the building to let fresh air in and warm air out. I understand that sometimes this can be a fire hazard, but in that case I would like to see Premier Inn installing those magnetic fire doors that can close when a fire is detected.
If neither of those things can be achieved, then I would strongly recommend that aircon gets installed in the near future. Following our stay, and the discomfort felt overnight, I have found the Travelodge in Solihull has aircon, and I would stay there in the future until Premier Inn could compete in guest comfort. I have chosen Premier Inn for accommodation at multiple locations across the country, and have always returned for the price and value for money. However if future stays would suffer from the same lack of attention to detail regarding cleaning, and the discomfort from the heat, I would feel obligated to move to an alternate business, even if it were more expensive.
Its worth noting that I understand in writing this feedback that most British hotels/ businesses are not built to manage overly warm temperatues, but with our climate going the way it is, I would like to see these improvements in the future.
