The whole place under scaffolding. A building site. The wonderful Preeti offered a refund which I accepted with gratitude. The state of the building should have been noted in the site. Nul points to Premier Inn. 5 stars to Preeti in reception

We stayed here as handy for Birmingham University which is only 20 mins away. We were greeted and collected our key, the staff were lovely. The room was very clean and tidy. It would have been nice to know that the building was covered in scaffolding but didn’t really affect our stay, more of a surprise! There was a bar to connect the beds together which was sticking out and could have caught onto someone and after a very quiet night, the early sunshine streamed in around the curtains which wasn’t ideal. We would stay again and the things I had mentioned were just niggles. Handy having a Beefeater on floor 1, handy for a late supper or early breakfast. Parking is just up the road outside the big Marks and Spencer and is £6 for overnight. Clean and comfortable.

Was shocked that the rooms are still very old fashioned, was not worth the money. Small TV, horrible purple carpet, some lights dont work & in bathroom. Chips & marks all over walls. Poor. Had to park miles away, The rubery one down the road is 10x better

Stayed here 2 Thursday nights in a row for a business trip. Good all round standard hotel in the city and nice affiliation with the Beefeater for food and a great breakfast. Only one star down because of a dirty stain on the back of the bathroom door on my second stay and no curtain netting on the windows which would've been nice with the current building works out the front and men walking back and forth outside the window. One person worth mentioning is Abu! Always a great welcoming smile and sorted a booking issue for me on the first visit. He remembered me the second time around which makes the experience much more personal!
