Birmingham South (Hall Green) hotel

Stayed here about 9 months ago and were not disappointed. Check-in was fast and efficient with a very polite helpful member of staff advising some useful information for our stay. Room was spacious, clean and tidy and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, a wide selection to choose from and Diana was extremely helpful. Check out was simple.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, we stayed for 3 nights Steven, Diana and Maria always welcomed us with a smile. Excellent customer service. The breakfast chief Ade also deserves a mention as our breakfast was delicious and cooked fresh for us every morning.... Love the sausages. Thank you we will definitely stay there again.

No AC in the room, only a flimsy desk fan. The nights were very warm, managed to get few hours of sleep per night during a week stay. Reheated breakfast not much option on the menu, same as all other premium inn.

I'm often in Birmingham for various events so I'm surprised I had never come across this venue before. It is slightly different from the majority of Premier Inns in that it is in a residential area, although it shares the site with a Toby Carvery. Although I only spent one night, I was quite impressed. There is plenty of parking and the rooms are very clean and well appointed. I particularly liked the 'mood' lighting in the bathroom, which seems slightly pointless, but nevertheless a novelty. Of particular note was the friendly and efficient gentleman on reception who went out of his way when I requested a room change. I was concerned about noise due to the room's proximity to the fire doors in the corridor. I also did not particularly like the interconnecting door to the neighbouring room. The door was locked, of course, but privacy was an issue. He did not quibble but promptly found me another room. He was exceptionally outgoing and helpful. I regret I did not get his name, but notably this gentleman remembered my name every time I passed by. As a former hospitality manager myself, it is refreshing to see some old school hospitality from staff who clearly enjoy what they do. A resounding thumbs up.

Excellent staff helpful and caring. Bedroom smart, Clean and fresh. Ate at the carvery, starting to look tired in there.
