Birmingham Oldbury (M5, Jct2) hotel

From the 30/04/2026 a 15/05/2026, I stayed in the premier plus at Birmingham-Oldbury and I paid for the upgrade room (on the Social side) and believe me, it was well worth the upgrade! I was greeted by the staff (sorry don’t know their name’s) who were very polite and friendly. The room is an absolute amazing, very comfortable, spacious and very clean and fresh smell. On a daily basis, housekeepers very polite and friendly too. They ensure I had fresh towels and topped up coffee, tea and milk daily, bin emptied every day I usually buy my meals and have them in my room. I popped into the restaurant for a drink and seen how the meals were presented, so I book a table, order my food, and OMG the food was made best quality and it tastes delicious and most of all, it was piping hot. Dessert delicious too. From that day, I was having my meals in the restaurant with a nice bottle of Rosa, also again staff were amazing, polite and friendly too. I just want to say a big Thank you. I will be staying at this Premier Inn Plus again without a doubt. 😃😃😃😃😃

Average premier inn. Looks tired from the outside with over grown grassed areas and peeling paint. Rooms very basic compared to other premier inn i have stayed in. On site bar restaurant not bad although breakfast breads etc stale. Cooked breakfast good. Had to wait ro be checked in as no staff on reception and check in terminals available. Doubtful if woukd visit this site again.

We were scheduled to stay at this hotel but a family medical emergency occurred and we needed to switch to a different hotel. We called the central booking line and explained the situation and they said they would switch it if we paid for the new room first then they would refund the other booked. We did this. A couple of weeks later we received email confirmation in the form of an invoice for the refund but we have never received the money. We have called them a few times and every time they say they need to go away and investigate and then we don’t hear anything. We now they are saying they are keeping our money. They are nothing or than common thieves. We will be taking the matter to court.

One of the most welcoming Premier Inns we have visited. Maryann was outstanding — her care, kindness, and warmth made every interaction a pleasure. The restaurant was excellent, with tasty, well-cooked food throughout our stay. The rooms were cleaned perfectly, and you could immediately smell the freshness when entering. Highly recommend!

Clean and tidy accommodation. New look bar and restaurant. Restaurant staff friendly and helpful. Donna and male counterpart (sorry didn’t catch name) created a good atmosphere, helpful and good knowledge regarding local area and facilities. Good hosts!!
