"Awful 😞"
Awful - would not book again. Carpets and decor are old and ragged. Both lifts were out of order - we had 2 very large suitcases as we had just returned from a long haul flight and had to carry them up 2 flights of stairs. Staff in the restaurant/bar were lovely and the only saving grace of this tired establishment. Would not book again.
"Awful - broken lifts"
The second worst Premier Inn we have ever stayed in - second only to the one in South Shields. The lifts were both out of order on our arrival from a long haul flight with 2 large suitcases. We then had to take these cases up 2 flights of dirty stairs to our room. The carpets throughout the hallways were ragged and dirty. The room was clean and the bed was clean but the walls were speckled with unpainted filler. The staff in the bar were friendly and helpful - they are the only saving grace about this establishment. Do not book this hotel.
"Bad experience"
Nice location and good bed. Lift broken for 5 days!!!! they should have done something about this. I have seen elderly people struggeling to get their luggage to the second floor.
"The worst premier inn we have ever stayed in."
The worst premier inn we have ever stayed at. It was absolutey freezing cold both in the rooms and bar/ restraunt areas. We told the staff but it went unheard. It was warmer outside than in the hotel!
"Broken lift, charmless staff"
We came to stay overnight before an early flight. We were unable to check in electronically and waited for nearly ten minutes due to a lack of available staff. There was no apology for the wait and we were advised that the lift was out of order (and had been for two weeks whilst a part was made) and available rooms were on the third floor. We then had to carry two 23kg suitcases up several flights of staff. When asked how we were to complain I was advised to take it up with Holiday Extras as premier inn ‘won’t do a refund so there’s no point contacting them’. Staff came across as completely disinterested. That plus a parking fee of £15 - I suggest you go elsewhere.
